New tank or did you have some issues with it.

Newer tank, about 4 months now. Had a ph drop that I think started it all. Here's a pic while being treated, just don't have any normal pics after adding a bunch of rock in.

RC - June 29/30

Well after assessing the weather my buddy and I have decided to go a different direction for the weekend.

I think we are going to go do Black Mountain in Harlan KY. You guys have fun and be safe!

Spare is fine, tools check, disconnect sway bars? Never done before. My tires have nitrogen in them....do they have a fill up there?

Is it an issue mixing nitro with regular air? My tires came originally filled with nitro but I've aired them down and up so many times there's probably only normal air left ... Well nitro is part of the normal air anyways ...

Friday ill take it over to my buddies shop and get air put in it. It just seems like a hassle. When my wife takes the jeep to her work to get tires balanced and rotated, they only have nitrogen there. It might be good for the tires, but it's a huge hassle when it comes to other things

So, does nitrogen save you money in the way of better MPG's as they claim?

Interested to see the air tank setup, thinking about a power tank or something similar for my own setup rather than the underhood compressor.

It's such a small difference it's not worth it and you can never find a gas station with nitrogen air pumps its a pita my buddy had it and swapped it for reg air

I'll agree with you that it's probably a PITA to find a place to fill up, but with heavy accessories (bumpers/winch/armor) & bigger tires... every little bit helps keep away from single digit mpg's. I'm not running out and airing up with Nitro or anything, just my :twocents:.

I couldn't agree more but it's so small of a diff I'm talking a few dollars a year you wud save and for the headaches it causes I say just stick with reg air in see anyone is contemplating this. Plus I've never seen a nitrogen compressor for my jeep lol

Sorry to hear you are having problems with it but that a crazy nice tank. How many gallons?

Forget about nitrogen, the savings are bullshit, there are countless studies out there and the pros and cons are barely minimum.... I would use air and call it a day....
My 2cents

Lol nitrogen compressor! That would be cool tho. I'll be switching out friday

I've had nitrogen in some of the family's cars and we've never really noticed a difference though they do claim its more efficient all around. Like others have been saying, I'd say its to minimal a difference to go through searching for nitrogen. Gotta remember to that when they run tests for MPGs its 99% of time under best conditions with a very, very conservative foot on the gas, without 37" tires on a Jeep with steel bumpers and body armor :p

I feel like a kid a few days before Christmas lol can't wait to just get on the road Friday night !!!

On the nitro..its just an inert gas/ dry gas. no pressure fluctuation due to temperature .the mixing up the two is no problem .you just may have a little less expansion and contraction until all the nitrogen is out . I think I will test this out .for me I stock it in my truck I use it all the time and if I can air up my tires in a minute I'm all for it .

I hope you get it figured out before its to late. I'm sure you gave been researching the hell out of it. my buddy had some of the same issues I just can't remember what he did to fix it that was probably five years ago .
Edit: I do remember something about filtration and getting some algae eating fish. Buy not sure exactly.
