RETIREMENT ROAD TOUR #1

This trail was AWESOME!!

The scenery is amazing- the trees, the lakes, and the mountains. Like the Rubicon there are slabs of rock but not as big. Instead there were lots of rocks, trees, and dirt. The traction is not anything like Moab. The rocks will roll out from under you and the dust made the rocks somewhat slippery.

Then there were the trees. The trees kept you on your toes. Lack of attention and you would damage your roof or sheet metal. The trees were very close to the trail and you literally had ‘Tread the Needle’.

We witnessed some carnage on the trail. Nothing from our group but some of the other vehicles we saw took some damage.

There were several Jeeps that had electric step rail and they were destroyed. Electric motors on the ground, wire harness hanging low.

There was also a nice Toyota truck that had its leaf-spring pack ripped from the body.
