I've never seen this thread before I dont think. I have a led maglite mounted in my JK. That thing worked for about 2 months and the led went out and have tried to fix it but cant seem to get it to work right since. At work I have a tiny little Streamlight that runs off 1 triple A battery that is pretty bright for a little dude. It's easy to put in pocket and carry too. But when I need some real light I break out my Nitecore Tiny Monster. It's the TM28 and has 6000 lumens and has a throw that goes forever. A little pricey but when I'm working nights it's very handy to have.

Good light for sure. Yours looks so clean. I've had mine 3 years now and use it often. Forgot what it use to look like with that pretty coating on it, lol.

Primarily garage use, has been dropped, gotten oil on it, paint worn away, welding splatter, and even cracked a lens at some point. I have not had to replace batteries yet and it still lights up like a mofo.

I’d contact Mag-Lite to see if they will warranty it.

Sweet!! This is my second one. The first one I had for about 2 years then gave it to my dad. He seen it and had to have it. Haha.
My wife has a Nitecore headlamp. That thing is pretty bright too. She does most her work at night and says she will never have another headlamp besides that one.

I’ve been more than impressed with this little dude for the past couple years. Mini usb rechargeable that lasts me about a month of daily use. Lumens, bright as fuck. About the size of two rolls of quarters. Perfect for cargo pocket.

I pack one of these in my pocket all the time.

I have streamlight stingers in my vehicles. Only thing I hate about them is that after sitting on the charger for a while the batteries don't last long enough to do much of anything.

I got this little guy for Christmas last year. It is surprisingly light and VERY bright for it's size!

SureFire Stiletto.

I have run it for 20+ minutes on high and the battery has still had a good charge. Not sure how long it lasts yet.

Charges with a micro usb.

[emoji106]I will have to look for those.

500 lumens is plenty for a headlight.

They are great for camping or wrenching because you have two free hands. At that price you can stash them in various places, e.g., tool box, center console or glove box, etc. If they get lost or broken, or you give one to a buddy or a stranger, no biggie.

My surefire E1D has been with me for years as part of my EDC. Small enough I carry it every day in my pocket, but it packs 500 lumens on high. Good enough to temporarily blind if needed but on low makes great work light.

I carried a Streamlight Stinger daily for about 8 years before it started not holding a charge worth a damn.

Rather than buy a new battery I bought a Streamlight Strion HL LED and couldn't be happier, half as heavy, half the size, & battery lasts 5 times longer.

I wore it into a dunk tank one day for a charity event, took it apart & let it dry out good after. It still works but is a little glitchy.

I have a few Streamlight Polytac lights for use where there are no chargers, I get slightly used CR 123 batteries for free to run them on. My wife stole the one out of my jeep and lost it...

I bought everyone in the family who would ever need one Streamlight Trident headlamps for Christmas, they're about $20 each on Amazon

And last but not least I've bought a few 5 packs of J5 Tactical mini lights that run on one AA battery that I stash all over the house, garage, and cars. The kids have lost or ruined almost all of them

Lol. I have more than Mag-Lites. This Craftsman is nice. 500 lumens.

I also have a similar Streamlight.

I bought these UltraFires off Amazon a couple years back... they were like $20 for 3, so I got 6. I keep one in the Jeep, truck, garage, house, & go bag. And I keep an 18650 charger in each location too. They work good for what they are... I’d like to get a couple higher end ones in a similar size..
