Finally got a chance to run Mottino Wash yesterday. Figured it would be a good shakedown run for the new hydro assist. 😎

Man, if you've never run hydro on the rocks, you don't know what you're missing! I finally lucked out and installed a mod that I didn't have to fuck with after the fact. Everything worked perfectly and nothing hits at full flex. Excuse me while I go find some wood to knock on. 🤣

Pretty awesome when a spotter says "driver" and now you actually can instead of saying "I AM steering driver Goddamit!". :yup:
Glad that worked out for you. Do you notice your steering being a little slower like when you are pulling into a parking spot & try to whip the wheel around real quick?
That's the only hiccup I've noticed with mine.

Right? I'm mostly relieved I don't have to worry about the sector shaft shearing off out in the middle of nowhere but being fully locked up on the rocks and still being able to steer with one finger is amazing!

Yes, it gets pretty stiff on quick, low RPM turns. Not horrible, but noticable. I'll probably add a cooler to get a bit more fluid capacity. If that doesn't work, I'll probably do the mod to the stock pump that increases the flow rate.

I added the twin pass Derale cooler and the larger supply line but it's still the same. Not really a big deal, just a minor quirk. Cooler is a good idea. Mine would get hot and really whine when it was getting worked hard. Never happened after I added the cooler.

Lol. I knew you were gonna say that. 😘

Sorry, it wasn't my run so I couldn't put out an invite. We need to do it together for sure. The trail should only take about an hour or two but the group I was with drew it out to about 6 hours. 🤪

I recorded a GPS track so I could find my way back there.

Yeah, like he said.

I get it, just have to give a hard time when I can. I was too busy with work to go anyway, but ready to go soon.

Glad the hydro is working out. It is moving up on my to do list for sure.

You know I love you guys. It almost felt like I was cheating. 🤣

Don, you had brought up the 24th (the Saturday after Thanksgiving) as a possible open date last we "talked"... This one is closer than DV and I think it ties into other trails as well. Greer may have better info on that than I do right now.
