I did to get any large flakes off. Washed it really well first, let it sit for a couple days then brushed and painted it.

Lightning, thunder, and an inch of water in 30 minutes, the works. The water coming out of the carpets looked like coffee :icon_crazy:

Did you replace it with anything?

I replaced mine with Bedrug. Easy to pull out when this happens.

I cut the carpet up a bit to make it easy to take out from now on, but something that didn't hold onto dirt and dog hair so well would be nice in the future too...

What do you guys think? Should I wet sand/clear coat/buff, or leave it as a "textured flat" finish?

I would wet and clear coat it if it were mine. Just looks more finished that way.

Thanks for the reply and yeah, probably. Just weighing my options. I've never done a glossy paint job, so I'm kinda worried I'll screw it up LOL! I've still got 6oz or so left in case I do though. It is single stage paint too, so I guess I wouldn't even need the clear coat as long as it polishes fine.

Gloss would be easier to clean and stay cleaner. But what you have now looks good (it’s hard to see the texture in the pic).

Cant tell in the pictures, but yellow is hard to color match with sun fade etc, if its not going to be the same color I would leave it flat. imo itll look better intended to be flat then intended to be a perfect match to hood and not quite right.
