Have liked these trucks for years. You see one here or there. Maybe beat to crap or fixed up or a nice clean stocker. I think it's time we start a thread showing them all in one spot. So here is the place. Post what you own or what you see when you roll around town.

Found this beauty in a little town called Riverdale, ca. It was parked next to a mechanics shop and looked like a parts runner. While it looked pretty old and was in need of a good bath, it didn't look to trashed.

From the sounds of it the 327 J3000 was produced from 1965-1971

That's a sweet ride. Don't see those everyday. I almost bought a J10 not to long ago. Found it along the side of the road for sale close to my hometown in Texas. I'm kinda regretting it now.

I love these trucks, I wanted to build one to wheel but all the ones on the east coast near me are either very expensive or rust buckets.

Oh man, you just know I love these old trucks!! While it's technically not a Gladiator being that AMC stopped calling them as such in 1972, I still feel that our J2000 is still very much one as it really is in every way except for the grill which was switched out to the razor style.

Agreed on the name but Gladiators sounded so much better than Jeep Truck! #marketingfail

Love the older Jeep trucks...love the Gladiator grille but really wanted the newer engine/ drivetrain so I found this one this summer and couldn't pass it up because the body was rust free ( really hard to find) AND it had the older grille !!!

Awesome Jeep Truck! Nice that it has the rhino grille you would see on a Gladiator but the tail lights and tailgate are clearly what you would see on a 1973-88. Super cool that you can easily convert it to the old style on any of the old J-trucks and I've considered doing it myself.

That is a nice rig. How are those sliders connected?

The previous owner built them... but they are stout, three point bolted to frame. He was proud of those and bragged how he could 'hi-lift' jack the whole side of the truck up with them ! they actually make it hard to get in and out of the truck seat with them. :crazyeyes:

Thanks... trying to keep up with the Oh's... :cheesy: They do switch out easily, the back 'grille' frame/body is about the same as the old bodies, they just updated the grille on model changes, it's just finding them and not paying premium for them. I've looked at a couple rigs that had the conversion here in AZ. This is a 79 with the 64 grille, I wanted a 74 for the drivetrain but couldn't find one that wasn't a rust project, and couldn't pass this one up.
