The Scarlet Witch Build

Really digging this build so far! Can’t wait to see it setting on 37’s with the double throwdown.

Got home real late from work last night but I was too excited to put the brakes and wheels on so I texted my best friend 3 doors down and he came right over. Took us about 2 hours to get the new shoes and brakes on. Wanda is looking mean now; like a short stocky bulldog. LOL

First we changed out the Old Stock Brakes to the New Baer Pro Front Brakes. This was very very easy to do and fit perfectly in the KMC's with no need for spacers. Was 5 bolts, bleeding, and done. Look at the difference in size.

Next we raised her up and threw the 37's on. It was dark so the front view isn't great. The next time I'm at home during the sunny part of the day I'll get more photos. LOL Leave for work in the dark and come home in the dark right now. Sucks!

So she will be thrown on a trailer Friday and taken up to Winchester and dropped off at Chaos for surgery. Can't wait to get the EVO DTD on her.

Man I wish I had the talent to pull of that kind of work. Great looking Jeep!

Trust me it is a lot easier than it looks. I'm not a mechanic at all and the tools you see in my garage belong to my brother-in-law who doesn't have a house with a garage yet. All I do is watch videos on YouTube and read the directions. LOL Oh and my best friend does a lot with me on this build and he does have a lot of mechanic skills which makes it easy since I'm a great Gopher. I go for this and go for that while he turns wrenches. LOL

Very cute dog! Just put down 2 animals in my house in the past 2 months. The house is now empty of animals since 2001 and its very quit and sad. Enjoy it while you can they are only here for a short moment.

Sad to hear, brother. Our other dog had to have emergency hip surgery today. Image1519950387.453311.jpg
Bad day, causing us to cancel a vacation to Joshua Tree and Pinnacles National Parks. Hopefully it all works out.

Sorry for the thread digression.

Great looking Recon build, I am digging the LCG stance without the lift! Did you powder coat the beadlock rings?

Thanks everyone for the kind remarks. Yes Jeepfan30 I had the rings powder-coated to match other red accents. Plan on doing the same with steering and springs.

Yah I actually like the look of it being stock height and 37's. LOL here are a few from today. Had it on the trailer and got about a mile from the house and the U Joint busted on my buddies truck. So we had to take her off and drive it two and half hours to the shop instead.

After we broke down and backed her off the trailer.

Update on Wanda!

The EVO DD Suspension, Artec Armor, Yukon 5.13 Gears, RCV Front Axle Shafts, Dynatrac HD Balljoints, and Chaos Aluminum Tie Rod/Drag Link for half of the steering Mod has been completed. LOD Rear Bumper and Tire carrier with Hi-Lift Mount, Jerry Can, RotoPax, and Rear Rack has also been done.

The Tom Woods Front and Rear Driveshafts, Rear Bumpstops, and PSC Hydro Assist could not be completed before I needed Wanda back from Chaos for Jeep Beach 2018.

Here are a few pics of what was completed by Chaos. Hope to have her back at Chaos in the next few weeks.

On the drive home I took a detour through WV and had to stop for this photo.

That was on Thursday the 19th so Friday my best friend came over and we got the rear bumper on so my wife and I could start the drive down to Daytona. Didn't take any photos of the rear before we left so here are some of how it looks now. Rear Rack and Shovel were not on it for Jeep Beach.

Now I'm in the process of installing some rear lights. Have the Rigid Ignite Backup Lights, Rigid Red Chase Light for third brake light, and a pair of Rigid SR-Q Floods for lighting up the rear of the Jeep while camping or working.

Can't seem to see which Option I like better.

Off the corners.

I'm pretty sure I'm going to go with the sides and just add a single rear facing flood after I see how the Chase Light works for Rear Illumination. Let me know what you think?

That looks awesome. Love the red coils and fuel carrier. Is that fuel carrier made by LoD ?
