I know I'm going to get flamed for this, but the difference between a lsd and a selectable locker is the lsd sends power to the wheel with traction and a lock always sends power to both wheels?

Selectable locker still locks the wheels together when YOU select it via a switch on the dash, etc. A non-selectable locker is engaged all the time except around turns, like an Aussie locker. An LSD isn't really a locker at all, but can cause the wheels to turn together at times or allow slippage to one wheel at times. There's several types of LSD carriers, but they don't fully lock the wheels together mechanically as a locker does.
