TIN CAMP - This is the Last One...

Of all the elk and deer that have been coming and going through our pasture, this pair (I'm pretty sure they're the same two) has decided to make it their home. They're literally out there day and night lately.

Ahhhh, nothing like a butt scritches or should I say, being able to bite an itch away.

It really is hard to believe just how big elk can get. When I first saw this one walk in front of the cam, I though it was a horse LOL

Have you seen any that are sprouting antlers yet?

Very cool. Hope no predators run them off and you can enjoying seeing some calves soon.

Cindy and I were really hoping to get out to Tin Camp sooner but I suppose, better late than never. Anyway, this first trip was a quick one and really just to check on things and maybe more importantly, to de-winterize the cabins! Anyway, it ain't much but here are a few pics from our recent trip.

The drive up from Boulder City was simply epic thanks to all the beautiful clouds up in the sky.

With the occasional down pours, it really felt like summer.

Not too many out there but of the few wildflowers still in bloom, we saw this one.

Stopped for some lunch and a cold one at one of our favorite eateries along the way - CHEERS!

Making a standard Ripley stop along the way, we were treated to some amazing views.

And, here we are! So good to be back!

Needless to say, after taking these pics, most of our time was spent working and not taking more pics but we do hope to get back out again soon and take a few more

Here's shot looking out across the valley and out to the mountains beyond. You literally can see forever.

Not much in the way of wildflowers or at least, not yet but there were these cute little cactus in bloom.

And these little daisys.

Oh, and it was really nice to use BANDIT for why we got him - to be a fun Jeep that we can go exploring in AND get some work done out in our properties.
