VIDEO : JL JOURNAL - SANDSTORM / Shredding it Up EVO Style

Possibly the best concept vehicle ever done by Jeep that is totally functional...Mel rocked it!...a. very well done video, as always...

This was a kick ass video!!!!! What an experience to be able to be a part of for you and Cindy along with Off Road Evolution/EVO.!

Thanks! We do feel fortunate to have been invited to this photo shoot and glad that we were able to get some footage to make something with it :yup:

Wow! Sick video! Sandstorm seems like a ton of fun! Really cool to see there trailing arm setup and how they did it.

Sandstorm really is a badass build and Mel did a great job with the trailing arms for sure.

That's just fucking awesome. Looked like Mel was having a little too much fun... I predict an EVO2 is on the horizon. 🤣

LOL!! He was for sure and I think your onto something :D

 holy shit is that badass! Is this trailing arm suspension gonna be offered to the public? I'm gonna start saving for my JL build now if you say yes!

Mel has made trailing arms for a JK and you can be sure to see them available for the JL in the future as well :yup:

Unbelievable suspension setup. They way it just soaked up the landing after that jump -no bounce, no drama.

Thanks for the awesome video!

It really is pretty awesome stuff :yup:

That was F'n Killer! Great Video! ... :2thumbsup:

Thanks, we're so glad you liked it :)

That is badass!!!

Sandstorm really is

What a great jeep. Some day my JKU will be done. Way to go.

It really is a great Jeep and I look forward to seeing yours built up.

Man that thing looks like a blast! Thanks for another great video!

Glad you liked the video and yes, Sandstorm really is a blast.

My that s awesome 392 my all that power oh my god

It really is impressive to hear and see it perform. :daydream:

Now that’s what I’m talking about. I’m still getting use to the rocks but desert is still my thing.

Oh yeah, rocks are fun but bombing across the desert is hard to beat.

That was great. It would be great to have a rig that can go fast like that and still be able to crawl

It's how we like to build our Jeeps. :yup:

That is an awesome Jeep! Makes me want to upgrade my suspension now...

LOL!! The right suspension can do a lot for ya. :yup:

Very cool video, that is one coll setup! 🖒

Thank you :)

Awesome build! Jeep needs a built production vehicle.

Well, you never know. It may not be exactly like this but I have a feeling something is in the works.

Holy fuck that is an awesome Jeep! Great video as always, thanks for sharing. 👍

LOL!! Thank you :)

Awesome Jeep, thanks for sharing this with us! Wow

Glad you liked what you saw. Minus the motor, your Jeep can do a lot of this too. :yup:

Awesome!!!!:clap2::clap2::clap2:

Thanks :)

Awesome!!!!:clap2::clap2::clap2:

Still don't know if I should thank you or hate you for this 🤣🤣🤣 but thanks anyway to make me dream ...

:cheesy: Glad to hear you liked the video :)

Just effing WOW!!! Lottery Jeep

Pretty impressive isn't it :D

Simply amazing. Awesome video!

Thanks, so glad you liked it :)

It is the functionality of it that really makes this such a badass build.

Whelp, now I know what I want my next build to be in a few years

Out of curiousity, is running at high speed like that done in 4H or 2H? I'm thinking 2H but have never done any high speed stuff like that.

Trophy trucks do it all in 2WD. Doing it in 4WD is actually really nice as it'll help you hold your turns. That being said, to do donuts and roosts, you'd need to be in 2WD.

I am also assuming disconnected? :idontknow:

but that video had me on the edge of my seat! I really am liking the higher speed stuff. I bet these videos are harder to film than a crawling video, But DAMN i'ed love to see Moby ripping through the desert! Would be cool to see Evo1 and/or Moby vs. Sandstorm; running the same lines and same whoops for a comparison of the JK DTD system vs. the lighter race spec Evo1 vs. the JL trailing arm/stretch setup :daydream:

Epic stuff as usual, sir! :thumb:

Actually, you'd want to be connected for this kind of stuff. Moby is still a cushy JKU through and through complete with creatures comforts, AC and a satellite radio. EVO is stripped down, stretched out, running way bigger bypass shocks, ridged up with a full cage and has it's motor pushed back among other things. Needless to say, it would hand Moby his ass. Sandstorm is also stripped down, stretched a whopping 6" and running trailing arms. It too would hand Moby his ass. That being said, Moby would kick just about any JK's ass. :yup:

Stretching it 6 inches definitely makes it more stable during high speed...I think your next video needs to be in some seriously big dunes...this JL will crush it...

OH for sure! and exactly why it would be so interesting to see! JUST how serious this thing is, Just how SERIOUS Evo1 is, and just how badass of a JK Moby is. :thumb:

Well done👍

A Very Big deal for everyone who were chosen to participated in the unique opportunity from FCA. All of the after market parts that are available for JK’s, JL’s and concept vehicles and FCA choose a few of our family of products that we all love and support because they simply work and perform, meeting or beating our expectations. This is a huge statement of acknowledgement for Mel, Jim, Eddie and Cindy... congratulations guys and thank you so much for sharing!!!!

Holy Crap...you two move in very rarified air! I didn’t think anyone outside FIA and maybe some writer from Automobile or Motor Trend ever got to check out these concept cars in the field. Congratulations to you two, it certainly looked like fun!

What a beast! I like that you showcased how custom built it is. Looks super clean and obviously it performs! Mel and EVO did a really great job! Thanks for the share!
