I went in and knocked out a few welds this morning. This is a pulsed mig pipe weld. It’s not as pretty as a tig weld but damn is it fast! View attachment 341477

Nice, that pulse setting is really nice for out of position mig too.

I’ve been watching this aluminum tig guy use pulse and the welds look ridiculous...never heard of pulse tig til recently

Thanks man. Most of the jobs we do don’t allow mig on pipe so I don’t do it enough to get real good at it but it’s fast and it passes X-ray.

I don’t think I’ve ever played with any pulsed tig but I agree, the welds are ridiculous. I’d definitely like to give it a try.

Yea its Tig. That was the first thing I've ever welded with it that will actually serve a purpose.
