We didn't get one, but we did see some elk and mule deer, and even flushed out a wolverine, which was 5 yards away before it we saw it! We had to climb down a couple days early to avoid getting stuck up there due to a snow storm, but on the way out we met the fella who bagged the last sheep of the season. They are definitely there, but they spook very easily and you need to get up really high to find them. Definitely the hunt of a lifetime experience. Looking forward to the next sheep hunt. Doing a caribou hunt on the north slope in Alaska next year.

Yep. Several campsites along the river. Really, pretty much open camping everywhere unless marked no camping.

Ended up not fishing, but many up there were and they were catching decent sized Goldens up at the dam.

Love it up there! Always funny after the fact but thinking back I guess that’s why I have a soft spot for Manache. Every time I go up there I almost die. Lol
From bears stealing my food to getting separated from my hunting partner and getting lost. To tripping over a rattlesnake the size of my leg. Getting my truck stuck in sand with no tools besides my hands to dig out. And of course the nagging curiosity what’s past the next bend in the creek while burning daylight then trying to back track in the dark. Or forgetting it’s the deer opener and I picked the wrong day to take the wife on a scenic drive. Every asshole and their cousin with zero muzzle discipline walking the trails. Again. Love it up there!
It’s been a couple years. I’m due....

I haven't been more than 10 miles from home in over a month. Today was no exception, but did drive a couple miles to some equestrian trails near us. Took a nice hike with my wife and picked some wild berries in one of the canyons. Got almost 2 quarts, enough for a nice pie.
