Why Jeep May Never be Great Again

I would imagine it's because, for better or for worse, California is still the largest market in the nation.
But clearly not selling all the EV’s since they sit on the lots. People want real vehicles, especially jeeps. They will travel to other states to buy. Hell if I was in charge of that company I would have a dealership in Jean, Ehrenberg, Verdi and Ashland.

Well, like I said before, the current leadership at Jeep are believers in the EV shit. They want all this bullshit.

Right, because there wouldn't be any cost penalties in tooling to have 2 different sets of vehicles made.
The EV saleable in California can also be sold in other states. Many people are intentionally buying EVs and they may be a good match for their daily usage model.

A Wrangler type vehicle does not work well in the form of an EV given how they are often used.

Since it seemed to go right over your head the first time around, that's the whole point. Instead of making 2 different sets of vehicles, Jeep only makes ONE being that it can be sold in other states

As far as the "many people are intentionally buying EV's" go, I hardly consider 5,000 units in the first quarter, less than 2% of Stellantis’ overall U.S. sales, to be "many". But hey, what would I know.

Stelantis doors not have much share of the US EV market. If they offer an EV I am not sure if I have ever seen one on the road. But in major urban areas there are a lot of EVs on the road. Many people do not leave the major urban area where they live, except by air. EVs work well for a portion of the population since they match what they want to do. Most people live in large cities and they do the same things on each weekday, and each weekend.

Perhaps Stelantis will not offer the Wrangler in California.

LOL - I don't even know why I bother sometimes but clearly, you're the guy with all the answers and I'm done ✌️

Stellantis stating it's part of the Sirius XM contract, I wonder if Sirius XM is aware of that.
As much as I like having satellite radio, I'm not above canceling that fucking shit if it starts pushing out ads like that
Agreed, it would totally piss me off. I’ve never subscribed to satellite radio past the free promo so I guess it won’t be an issue. 👍🏻

I cancelled my sat radio when they put DJs on all the damn channels so I had to hear them all blather on about nothing I give a shit about. That’s why I’m paying for MUSIC

I hear you, but there are so many locations around here that still have no radio reception beyond the farm report or worse... its 2025!!

No, I don't use my phone for music, I don't want to use my phone for anything but it's something I have to have for clients.... some day I'll run over it and never look back lol

I have almost all of the music I care about on a USB stick. The audio quality is better. All of my recordings (ripped from CDs) contain ID3 tags with the metadata. The head unit does not seem to know how to use ID3 tags to automatically build a playlist. Perhaps it needs some sort of a playlist file. Does anyone know what is necessary to cause the album to display nicely, and have the tracks play in the album order?

If I can get this figured out, then I can drop Cirus XM and listen to music for free just like a CD.

The worst thing about Sirius XM is that they play only a few songs from each band. They pick which songs must be "popular" and skip most songs from any given band.

You need to check out one of the music sites for shits & giggles. Amazon music, Spotify, Apple etc. being to curate your own lists is pretty nice. I hear you on the phone thing, but in this case the technology is pretty nice to have.

I am paying for YouTube Music, even though I barely used it. With the "save for later" option (on your phone), it could be a useful source while traveling and you don't have (or want to use) cell service. I assume that the other apps mentioned also support those features.

Back in the day my 2009 BMW 335xi you could just insert your cd and it would save it to the hard drive. I did this with a massive amount of cd's and never listened to anything else. I do like the USB idea as a substitute or alternative.
