My other ride. 2002 S10 ZR2 5 speed. Dana 44 solid front axle conversion done by me and a buddy. Sprung under with front shackles. Rear is the zr2 specific 10 bolt sprung over with a spartan locker. 233 tcase with 231 internals and fixed front output from a dodge dakota. Home brew driveshafts made from ZJ and s10 driveshafts. Steering is part XJ part chevy astro van. The axle is from a wagoneer. Stock 4.3 is built up and warmed over with a wicked computer tune and no emissions equipment whatsoever. 15" of front suspension travel

The MINI was a fun car, but it had a pos Peugeot engine that kept leaking oil ON A BRAND NEW ENGINE! also it's a BMW so it was expensive as hell to get serviced. We put 24k miles on it in three years and it was already starting to show some reliability issues so we decided to get rid of it before it got worse and get something with a better track record for reliability.
