Awesome shots! Hopefully I can get out to the snow this season. Looks like you guys got a good amount up there!
At the house, a little over a foot. And I should note, that's a LOT for us especially to get it in a day. At the ranch, more than 2 feet but then, it's over 1000 feet higher up.Beautiful pics! How much snow did you get? Have yet to see any snow in Philly yet this year
Yeah, the problem was that we were getting a stupid amount of rain before it turned into really wet, heavy snow. That all turned to ice and made large sections of the 395 impossible to drive. We would have come out to the ranch sooner but couldn't because of the closures.I was surprised to see how much of the 395 was shut down.
LOL - right?!Holy Guacamole! Can you imagine how much more snow there would have been if it weren't for Global Warming?
Thanks! It's been a labor of love but a ton of fun.Just catching up on this incredible dream project.
First , congratulations to you and Cindy.
Second, you guys really dig in with passion and perseverance when you commit and the progress in a few months is incredible.
finally, like so much of what you guys give us, is sharing the experience so we can enjoy as well , at least virtually.
Well done and Thank you

Any around mammoth it gets really heavy snow. great pic.
Aside from all the manual labor though, that landscape is GORGEOUS when covered in the white stuff. Shoot, I'd buy a snowmobile to get around the ranch during the winter lol. Still so cool you guys can call this place your ownHaven't been out to the ranch since the big snow storm after New Year and so we decided to check things out today. The drive out across Carson Valley was gorgeous.
Unfortunately, being that we're not living at the ranch, the local snow plow guy figured it'd be okay to pile up all the snow in front of our gate.
Needless to say, I had dig out just to get in. Fortunately, I had a feeling this might happen and so I came prepared.
After a lot of work, we finally got in.
Fortunately, we made sure to bring a Jeep with a lot of clearance. Even though it's been melting, the snow was still pretty deep and the drifts even deeper.
Taking it slow, we were able to creep our way out to the stable and arena.
Fortunately, everything was still standing.
Of course, Ripley was having a BLAST!
Took a lot of work to posthole our way around in knee deep snow but we just had to see how things were holding up.
I think next time, I need to bring my snowboard
