Trembley's Build

Well, lately for me it's been addition by subtraction...

Xpel film...while it seemed to work good for someone else on another forum...personally...don't care for it....removed it. Save your dollars.

Removed Grill Mod as well, just something else to re-paint when it needs it and not really doing much for me....so removed it.

Also removed the locking lugs....lost the damn key in a mudhole here locally....removed them by taking it to my local mavis...buy the tech lunch...call it square. After rotating my tires a few times...if someone is retarded enough to try and steal the 100lb combo...they can have 'em...that's why I have insurance....

Starting to build up an itch I need to scratch..pretty sure bumper and winch are next, and also want to add on-board air before the spring, we'll see what the future brings!

What bumper you thinking of Ben?

Debating if I will be patient enough to wait for the aluminum quarter pounder if they decide to release it or just get the steel version. Then I am going to get the Pure Jeep bull bar to go on it. Still trying to decide weather or not to go Warn for the winch.

If they do make that it would be sweet! For the winch I honestly would do a warn on the cheaper side or do a Quadratec winch. I say the Quadratec one because of the price point and for how often we don't use it. It's a reliable one that will get us out of the sticky situations we rarely get into. If we were out west where we get stuck more on rocks and have to use it more often I would say warn for sure.

People werre discussing the aluminum one earlier and the problems it would have being that it is aluminum and mounts to a steel fram so that got me thinking.

The only reason I want the aluminum version is so I can run a zeon but I could just buy the 1/4 pounder and cut it like they did for RESQ 1 to fit the zeon.

I would go quadratech for the winch. I have used myne a few times now and have been very happy with it everytime. Also deff get synthetic line, so much easier to pull and get to spool back in without kinks and its only a little bit more in price. I agree with steve tho that if we were out west, id deff get a warn simply cuz we would be doing longer pulls and prolly more of them. Thats also what a local shop told me before as well. I do want to upgrade to a powerplant tho if funds ever let it happen.

Well, in anticipation of the winter here in upstate NY..I pulled my sliders to prime and paint some trail damage/ wear and tear on them. I decided to go with that rustoleum for industrial applications again after putting it on my hard top this summer...I went with a flat black and I am pretty impressed. I also decided this time around to use a little skate board deck tape strategically located on the step portion so i don't bust my ass when I have wet boots on or when they are covered in snow.

I also decided while I had the sliders off to go ahead and paint my pinch seam in an effort to make it visually dissapear. I went ahead and used the same Duplicolor Bed Liner that I used on the wheel wells and I have to say it looks great. Hopefully no more painting in my near future...it's getting to damn cold. I was lucky I had prepped the pinch seam when I did my wheel wells over the summer, I just had to hit it with some solvent to clean it, tape it off to avoid over spray and shoot it...came out nice.

Ok... so for X-mas I got myself a Warn Xd9000 winch....it's till boxed up waiting for my new VKS Fab bumper that is currently in route.. I will post pics when I get that all together.

I also got myself a switch panel solution for X-mas with the black friday sales going on and a gift card or two...it was worth it to me. I hooked it up with some OTRATTW switches and I must say I love it... can't wait to get it installed.

Then I went ahead and got some of those LED back up light bulbs from the ongoing thread.

Work great for me!

I also got some of the bulbs for the factory fogs...but haven't put that together yet. Planning on using my stock fogs in my rear bumper configuration.

Then....I have just ordered, Synergy LCA skids, C-Gussets, SS relocation bracket and SS clamp to replace my taco'd stock unit with a buddies Bilstein Unit. Also ordered Teraflex Differential covers that I am customizing a bit with some body match paint covering the Teraflex Red lol. Orderd mostly through Northridge. I'll add pics here once I get them all installed. Be posting again soon...next, On Board Air and some lighting I think.

The one that people don't like to speak nicely about around here....s(rhymes with mod)and has a P in it.

I understand their point of view....but I still bought it because it fits my needs perfectly.
