some of the best trails in the usa are just 30 mins north of me. im lucky to be where i am, just one down fall. 7 months (barely) are ride able

Yeah where I am we get it pretty good, we get snow up high, but for the most part we have access year round , but we also get a ton of rain, and that makes for slimy rocks, roots, mud.

Yup label me jealous too, I would loveto have those kind of trails near me but unfortunately SoCal is a desert! Most of the tails that I ride on are steep downhill runs that are hard pack dirt with rocks and a layer a silt on top. I look forward to when I can visit my brother in Oregon and ride with him. He has some amazing scenic trails by his house too.

Here is a video of my new favorite downhill that I have been riding. What I would give to just have one nice long flowy forest trail !

Saw this on Facebook. Some thieves took an axe to the back of this van and made off with 27 demo bikes a couple weeks ago in Italy!

Who the heck leaves a van with 27 bikes in it unattended where someone can hack at with an axe till it opens and then load 27 bikes into another vehicle ! That takes some time! ImageUploadedByWAYALIFE1394161890.570572.jpg

Had a great ride today out in the Aliso and Wood Canyon Wilderness area by my house. It was clear skies and 70*. Here's some pics from today's ride, 14 miles and 2500ft elevation gain.

how do you like using strava?

I love using strava it's a great way for me to keep track of my progress and also find new trails. The only downside is a lot of the "new" trails I am finding are illegal trails. But other than that it's a great app

i have had people complain about never being on the top 100 of any of the trails (they are sadly in way better shape then i am) and then i pull up the app and i dont have that problem at all!!! i also use it for road riding too

Come on up to NorCal and we will get some flowing rides in!

Only two trail rides and nothing extreme, so I'm not to sure had I did it, it's a shimano slx hub with thru axle.
