Ya it is, its going to be a fun day!
I would recommend recovery gear in the form of a quality tow strap that does not have metal hooks. Better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it.

This is true and always handy, but if money is tight please dont run out and buy this we will have tons of straps, winches, and other things.

If anyone needs a recovery strap, i can see if i can dig one up at work. I work at a shipyard and have access to hundreds of them. Haha

Sure thing. Mind you, they are used and some are in better shape then others. But free is better the. Spending money right? Haha most are rated for 3.5 tons. So about 8000 lbs. ill see if i cant get a few of then to bring along for whoever! I have pictures of them to show you guys but it wont let me upload them from my phone. I know 8000 sounds like a lot but you really want to be around the 20000 mark for tugging out, it just keeps it really safe!

I hear that! I usually double then up. They're loop straps and only about 10 ft long, so use about 4 of them hahahahah

Why do you use four? Three allows for more flex and articulation when pulling a poor soul out of the creek water. Plus its one less to dodge if they start breaking.

I double their strength. I use two straps to one link. And then use two links to make a twenty foot strap. A little of a process but cant beat it for free

Army dog is going!!! Get there Friday night, drink, sleep, drink a little more ( markers mark and some pappy van if I can find it... ) burn a stogie and sleep a little more.... Saturday morning I wheel with new friends who will be reminded to treat me like a virgin please..
Saturday night, rinse off the mud and stink, then might wash the jeep too and drink some more.... Not sure if I will stay to run some trails on Sunday. By this time I will really miss my wife and need a hug from my best friend ( same lady ). But, this will be fun and I will learn stuff and do stuff and break stuff and drink stuff!!!!!
