Ok trying to get my stuff together for my first outing. I extended the breather tubes on the axles today and started working on getting my AEV bumper mounted with a winch. Does anyone have the bumper that can take a picture looking down on the top? Want to see if it go flush against the grill or still uses that 3" wide trim piece. Google has been no help. I want to use the winch but with the cover on the top and remote mount the control box.
Ordered the tereflex BB today as well. Still trying to pick up a set of 13/14 Rubicon wheels somewhere, craigslist had a few but no responses from the sellers.

Well two things for ya!
1) scott Grnhorn has the bumper set up with a winch might ask him!
2) darkknight who is going on the trip has rubi take off tires for sale!

Your talking about the plate that goes across the top before putting the winch in. I have that. I will bring it with me to rc.

Thank you !!! Now what kind of beer do you like?

I like the idea of covering it up. I'm not sure how easy will be to remove the plate when off roading but I would think as a permanent solution it wouldn't allow the heat that the winch builds up out

Yes I just want to leave it on most of the mall crawling time. Remove it when it actually goes into the wild.

I wanted(may still) to extend the engagement/ disengagement lever and it leave it on all the time but never having a winch before I don't know how hot they get.
Wil also help protect the synthetic line from uv exposure

If the plates easy on off it's awesome idea if not so easy I'm just saying it can cause some issues. I've done some maybe 5 min straight pulls on a light load to rewrap the line and theirs some serious heat after don't want to burn up the motor due lack if airflow

I need to get a cover, unless it doesn't keep all the water out. One of last years winter outings I needed to pull line and it was frozen :grayno:
