All things Colorado

In honor of Colorado's winter, here's a pic of a great powder day at Steamboat Springs. Although not *off-road* 4wd, on road that day, 4wd-high was a must over Rabbit Ears Pass.

Looks a little cold, but I bet you had a blast. I'm not a skier. I'm a sledd(er). :)

Got a thread bump submission. Went to the trading post at Garden of the Gods today and found a few books. Bought one for the Central region there are two more. Called Colorado trails, backroads & 4-wheel drive trails.

Very cool book. Each trail states start and finish, mileage, time, unpaved miles, times open, scenic and trail ratings. Also has history and pics of trail as well as a map. Very informative info in the front of the book too. Definitely a book for one to get if they like to explore. I should have gotten the southern region, but this will keep us busy for a while.

Those books arent that great last time I read them. About as useful as wells books really, basically the same book different author

You know what really grinds my gears? I ordered some beadlocks from ORE last Thursday. They had them shipped in 14 MINUTES. (seriously ). So FedEx takes over, drives them across the country to Denver and they arrived Saturday. But since they are not scheduled for delivery until tomorrow, they are just sitting there.. mocking me from across the city.

Hahaha! That sucks! The one thing about it is they are worth the wait.

I know the feeling. I called a local shop about the EVO leveling kit and they said "it was on backorder". Called Drew, at ORE and it was boxed and shipped in less the 24 hours. I will only buy direct from ORE. Didn't mean to derail, just know what your dealing with.

Waiting is always the hardest part. You can always go pick 'em up at the terminal. I do that all the time on shipments from UPS and FedEx.

I hear ya. Seems like USPS actually makes an effort. If it gets there early, they will just deliver it. But Fedex and UPS, fuck it, not on schedule for today so we'll let it sit. I've got a box of cigars sitting in Denver right now until tomorrow, just because.........bastards.

Hey DDays, since you're here, I ordered some sharkhide last night too. I'll put it on while they are still new so hopefully they will keep the clean finish. Thanks for the recommendation.

Here UPS seems to do well. I've had several packages delivered earlier than the scheduled date. Fed Ex doesn't do that. In fact more often than not deliveries are not on time and sporadic with the time of day. UPS has a time frame for my neighborhood. USPS delivers same time, every day. No issues with them really.
