A note for anyone else that does this: the front lower control arm bolt requires 125ft-lb of torque. Only way I could get that in that awkward space was to use rope to hold wrench on one end.

Also, I didn't use any of this hardware. Bolts were in case I didn't have a cross-member but not sure what washers were for. Anyone know?

I'll be installing this package in a week or two. Helped me to know that I can get it into the jeep now, (almost fully recovered from my surgery) and put it on next week, without making a day of it. Thanks!

Those are a nice additions to your Jeep! I would like to get some in the near future myself. Questions on the oil pan skid, do you still have access to the drain plug and does it bolt on in the same place as the pan?

Yes and yes. Here are some pics I just grabbed for you. They did a really nice job designing it. All bolt on.

Trip to Aspen

Drove to Aspen via Independence Pass today. Absolutely gorgeous. At times it's more or less a one lane road on the side of a mountain. Lake at the beginning was stunning; already planning on going back to camp there.

Drove through Leadville on the way over, which completely surprised me with its charm. Thinking of going back to explore that sometime. There are some good trails near there as well, so two birds one stone.

Outside Leadville there was a series of boulders, painted, with drill holes in them and other markings. No idea what the significance is but seemed like a photo shoot was warranted.

Continental Divide. Crazy to think two snow flakes from the same cloud will end up in different oceans just depending on which side of the ridge they fall.

Saw this guy in Aspen. Old Jeepster, completely restored. It was a thing of beauty.

Tomorrow we explore Aspen and hopefully do a trail! The occasion for the trip is the wife's birthday so we'll see what she wants to do :)

Looks like a fun trip. I can tell by the above picture that you are really putting those new skids to the test. :thumb: :cheesy:
