What lift are you running for the 37s? I'm going to get some here within a year or so and don't wanna lift mine too big. Thinking 3 or 3.5 inch should do the trick with flat fenders haha

I can answer that for you lol he is running the 3" plush rides with Bilstein 5100 shocks. He sits at about 3.5". Running 2.5-3" bump stops
 
Nothing new to the jeep, did order tires for the Subaru finally however so I should have that on the road soon so I can get the jeep in the garage to start fitting the corner skins and make a side plate I can weld to them for the carrier.

Would be it bad to have my tires aired down for a while?

Air down put it in the garage and pull the wheels and tires if your worried.
 
getting closer to having it on the road....then to figure out how I can fit my jeep in the garage so I can get some stuff I want done to it...mainly pull the skins and paint them which will be a chore due to all the lower bolt heads being stripped and the cage in the way.

Fitting in the garage... I went to a local shop that does installs, and grabbed a set of 17" OE jk wheels with like 28" or 30" road tires on em for 40$ a piece. Now I swap my 37s for the 30s, laugh, then drive right in!
 
Another pointless update.

Finally after thinking it would never happened, passed the PA emission test on the Subaru....LEGALLY!!....which was amazing and started to drive that to make sure itll be good for when I tear into the jeep.

Plan is to first get the rocker skins off and sanded down and re painted, even though its cold guess ill just take my time or send them for powder. Then start to install my corner guards. Going to see if my local guy can bend some tube for me for the lower part like evo does in house.

Any tips on jacking up the body slightly on one side so I can get to the rocker skin bolts? All the lower ones are slightly stripped and the sliders are in the way of using a bolt extractor on them yet.

Love the Daily Driver! Never done it on a JK but on my old Chevy we would undo the body mount blots on one side & use a floor jack and a couple blocks of wood to lift the body up slightly. But if it's the nut inserts that are stripped I don't think that will help. I've had the nut inserts strip on me after already installing the skins & I was able to cut the bolt head off so the skins would come off then tac weld the insert. Good luck!
 
When ever I strip a bolt I usually just weld a tab to it so I can twist it off.

Could you weld a nut to the outside of the bolt and get it out that way?

Good ideas guys, maybe a few little pieces tacked on would do the trick.

Basically what happened is, I never used antiseeze on the bolts, and waited too long to pull the skins. In the process of using a normal allen key, I ended up stripping most of the heads of the bolts. I do have one or 2 nutserts that I will have to drill out but that's it.

It's pretty easy to lift the body, just the eight body bolts, I did one side at a time removing four bolts and just loosening the opposite side so the body didn't shift then some wood blocks under the door rail and lift from there

Subaru looks sick man! I wish I would have never sold my impreza wagon. But my 4 evo enforcer lift was a good trade lol.
 
If I sold this one id prolly get coilers and work on a small stretch. I think she's gonna get parked for a while tho. Either in the garage or maybe out back and be covered and just enjoy the subaru till that breaks down.
 
I say jeep.

For the bolts: place a nut over the bolt head and weld the nut to the bolt head (thru the middle of the nut). The heat will help loosen the bolt too. Not sure about the effect on the surrounding sheet metal, but your not putting much heat in to weld it.
