Spent a couple of hours trying to find this vibration I had. I felt it in the gas pedal and steering wheel. I've had it for a couple of weeks now. Turns out it was a pretty good size rock stuck between the crossmember skid and exhaust. All is well again!

Checking things out underneath, and noticed my rear diff cover is getting kinda bad, no leaking or peeled back. But if I were to put a new diff cover should I grind it down on the bottom? Looks as if I shaved the housing a bit also. Or just run with this till I absolutely need them?

When I swapped over to the ps covers I grinded the face smooth since some of the metal would have made a bad seal, but that's exactly how my rear looked and wasn't leaking.

Still no ball joints in. I called, something about low profile ones or something. Not sure. No rush. But finally got the green light from my financial advisor (wife) on ordering the tire carrier! Apparently the kids needed school clothes and couldn't wear a evo tire carrier to school.

Yes dynatrac has two styles. The newer 2012 axle shafts don't clear the older ball joints. You would need to grind down the shaft in order for it to spin freely. Here is the older style.

Eddie has the newer low profile style on rubicat and has pictures somewhere on here where they were being installed.

Just scored a factory soft top, never been used and still boxed up. Guess the tire carrier is gonna be a little longer. Got this for the wife's jeep.

Got my front fog lights fixed thanks to overlander's life hacks. Took them apart cleaned them up and rtv to seal them up. Also got bored and re cut my front fenders, took off all the door trim and cleaned and straightened up the edges. Really happy with the flatter fenders. Got to do something until more parts come in. I bought a can of plasti dip. Thinking of doing the front jeep emblem.

Ball joints finally showed up. Gotta mail off the rebate! And some rear sway bar links showed up also, they look beefy! Ordered a drag link flip kit also. Hopefully be in Monday.

What are people's thoughts on the replacement certificate on tires from discount tire?

I've kicked it around a few time but haven't done it. Always seems like any other insurance and extended warranty, great to have when/if you need it but a waste of money if you don't. With the cost of some of these tires, it's almost where if you have one claim your back to even. That said, seeing how tough the Nitto's have been, I'll probably take my chances, of course after saying that, I'll have two flats on my drive home tonight.

Nitto and Discount both have awesome customer service though!
