To say this was a fun day is an Understatement!! Huge thanks to Mcpuck, Moochie, Overlander JK and all the spotters. Up until this trip, the only off-roading I've done is crawling over those big ass speed bumps at the MV mall. Not once did I feel unsafe (Except when my stock steering box wouldn't turn my 38's). I cannot believe how easily these things climb over rocks and go uphill. This was such a blast. Great group of people for sure (A big thanks to the guys that aired me up after we were done too). To tell you what a good time I had, I scratched up my beautiful Mall Crawler wheels and I'm not even Butthurt over it, now that says something!!!!!!!!!!!! The only downside of the day was finding out I still need, PSC, long arms, rear bumper/tire, onboard compressor etc. Hey, what's another 9k for a good time! I am DEFINTILEY bit, I cant wait for the next one:thumb:

WOW, IMO, this was the best organized event, and the best NEWBIE RUN. :2thumbsup:

For the last few years, I have been offroading SOLO... when I read the event posting in the forum, and seen the excitement of the forum members about the run, I decided to do the run.
AND, boy, oh boy, that was the best offroad experience I had in a while.
I am glad I did join the run and pleased to meet so many strangers that are now my new TRAIL friends.

I had a FUN and a blast day on the trails. for that, I want to give a shout to the organizers and group leaders.

What a great day and turnout! Thank you to everyone that came out and braved the cold winds. A special thank you to JeepFan, TrailBud, Moochie, RanchoRubi, and kenb1010 for taking care of the groups and getting everyone off the trail (before dark) all safe with no issues! :clap2:

Snow isn't the issue, its the rain. The place has been hammered this yr by flash floods and that is the true threat. From the rock and debris we saw moved from the last set of storms that moved through there must have been some nice flows through that canyon.

Just want ya to look forward to the excitement that may be there. Be sure to have cameras charged. A flash flood is an AWESOME thing to view.

We were up on the hill by some mines and watched the parade. Awesome.

We hit the following:

Black Rock Canyon
Up to where Last Chance and Nightmare connect and over to the ridge line
Camp Cudahy
Shortcut between Last Chance and the Holly Cleanser Mine
Dutch Cleanser Mine
EP 15 over to the Holland Mine
Holland Mine shortcut back to Colorado Camp
Short cut between Pleasant Valley Rd and Last Chance through the Red Buttes. Where we saw the parade you guys provided. :thumb:
Then down Last Chance where we met up with a crew from the Valencia area....
