Made some baby backs on the weber kettle last night. While they were finishing up I tossed on a pork tenderloin since the gf isn't a huge rib fan.

Some Mike mills magic dust on the ribs, and a home made apple bbq sauce with some 2x baked potatoes.

Alright trying my hand in smoking tomorrow morning. Got a 8 lb brisket and did a test smoke today to play around with temp control for about 3 hrs. Planning on throwing it on around 430am tomorrow. Any tips from you pros!?

I know probably not the best set up. And it leaks quite a bit but put some high temp gasket around which sealed it up a bit.

It's about 2.5 in. 225? That's great news.. more sleep if you think that's to long. Gotta be ready to eat by 2

That sounds OK to me. It didn't look that big in the picture. Better to be safe than sorry. Keep extra charcoal on hand, cooking that amount of time you'll be surprised how much you go through.
