Yep. It's on its way here!! The start of the corp 14 build.

I will keep an eye on this.... Please post a lot of pictures. I have a 14 bolt rear and matching king pin front sitting on the patio that I dream of slapping under the pumpkin at some point.....

What year is the kingpin? Ford or GM?

I believe the years are 1978/79 Ford has the pinion and pumpkin located in the correct position. Additionally you will have to figure out how to install a tone ring to communicate to the ECM. You can order the JK bracket kit from Polyperfromance. Then the real fun begins with measuring and remeasuring where the brackets go, tac the brackets, test fit, and make adjustments. I have looked into this and have chosen not to go this route. If I had a TJ this would a perfect route. JMHO

It's not as hard as people make it out to be. You are correct on the kingpin from the 78-79 ford. However the newer ford 60's work well also. But I'm thinking of doing a 14 bolt front also, Still working some things out on it. Solid axle company makes a complete jk conversion for brackets. So does arctic. The tone rings on the back are easy. But with the kingpin it's a little more involved. With the newer ford 60's currie has a hub you put on and BINGO!!!

Starting the 14 bolt build. So in wanting a 80 rear (and the dam thing being over 7k for one) got me to looking at options. So I came across a few builds of the corporate 14 into a JK. Doing all the work myself I figured it to be around 3,500.00 with an ARB locker. When you shave the 14 you halve almost the same clearance as a 44. This is appealing to me :)
So this section of my thread ( for a little while at least) will be on me building a corporate 14 rear for the Kraken. I'll try to give as much detail as I can. Plus what parts I use, were to get them, and what they cost.

Looking forward to following this Ricky!

Thanks again for the trackbar. :thumb: I have to admit I was a little nervous checking it on the plane last night, wondering if you had slipped something into the packaging. :cheesy:

Separating the hubs from the drum brakes. I am converting to disk. It will shave some weight off the axle. Also rotating weight.
