WOO-HOO!!! It's SEMA time again and as always, we Cindy and I will be covering the show LIVE from Las Vegas, Nevada! In fact, this will be our 11th year doing this and we invite all of you yet again to attend this amazing show virtually by following us here on this thread. We will be sure to post up all kinds of great photos as they're taken on the showroom floor and of course, if there's anything in particular you'd like to see, all you have to do is ask. If it's possible, we will be sure to do what we can to get a shot of whatever it is you're looking for!

Also, don't forget to check out the TONS of detailed HI-RES photos we'll be posting up daily of everything we see at the show. To help make it easier for you to search and sort through, our photos will be categorized by vehicle or product and will be placed in individual threads. You can find all these photos by clicking on the following link below:

We'll spend a little time giving him one more cleaning before the sun goes down and then will help setup and position everything in the morning.

Until then, we'll start making our rounds :thumb:

Technically speaking, I believe it has some "Willys" body parts but a lot of the suspension, axles and of course tires look to be from the same build that we saw last year. I will have to give it a better look in the morning.

They make sense to me, but I wonder about their Higher speed handling? I imagine low speed characteristics would be fantastic. However, that much material internally on the tire would make it quite heavy, and very overpowering at higher speeds.

Looks like it's got the stubby Hard Rock bumper with a Warn Zeon winch, JW Speaker Headlights, lift, wheels and tires. The leather looks to be the regular brown option you can already get.

Edited: Also looks like it has a different slider/step on it. Still not seeing what makes this such a special edition to the fact that they're only making 50 of them.

Sorry for not chiming in sooner. Been busy talking to people. As mentioned, what was under the Mopar cover was the Red Rock. Looks pretty plain jane to me.

Great coverage so far, can't believe how you guys are walking the show, taking all of the pics and posting as much as you are.

Any more of the Poison Spyder / Rubicon Express Jeep? Was hoping to see a thread about this one with as much detail as the others!

Says a true Dana 44 front and rear or is it the same 44/30 front that's on the rubicons?

It says a "next-generation" Dana 44 front and rear, so I'm not real sure what to think of that. I would assume that it's the same front 44 in all of the Rubis.

We tried taking a few quick shots under the Jeep but weren't supposed to be on the stage. We'll have to try and give the front axle a better look tomorrow... if we can.

I am guessing since it was not added to the upgraded parts of the build sheet on the bottom, they are just Rubi axles.

Yup! Rubi axles are listed as 'next generation' D44 axles currently. I'd be willing to be they are just the current rubi axles.

Bam! I looked up the tire carrier and tailgate support, not really and upgrade I would want to buy. Was thinking it was going to support the stock carrier.

So, I was just reading an article about the Red Rock. It said it will be built in a Rubicon Hard Rock platform, and come with a Warn Rubicon winch, lift, 35" tires, Mopar true beadlock wheels, LED headlights, Jeep branded CB radio, Amarretto Brown Katskinz leather seats. All that plus the Rubi lockers, transfer case, and everything else that comes on the hard rock Rubi. Depending on the price point, this may be a pretty good rig for someone wanting a similar build but getting a factory warranty with everything. Seems to have most everything one would need.

They look like JW Speaker headlights. Some the parts made for Mopar for their builds is made by after market manufactures. It is then given a Mopar part number and the price is increased.

[QUOTE=wayoflife;606067]Ok - ran upstairs and at the TransAmerica display (4wheelparts)

Check out this Smittybilt overlanding Jeep JK Wrangler. Taking front bumpers to an all new level :)

If I had this front bumper, I would be sooo temped to bump into stuff just for the fun of it. Kind of like running around with one of those giant balls and knocking people over...

Down in the Main Hall today to see what if anything needs to be covered there but we'll be sure to swing back by the Off-Road Hall later on this afternoon. I'll try to get some more pics of their bumpers then.

The ProGrip 1 is still a great option but I believe Jim said that if you want your heavy JK running a set of 40's to stop like a Ferrari, these are the brakes you'll want. If I recall, they offer DOUBLE the stopping power but, they will come at a price and you may have to run bigger wheels.
