Wow. You got a lot done in one day. What's next?
I still have plenty of things to got done
-relocate evap
-route fuel tank harness
-mocan harness
-interior wiring
-order driveshafts
-gas pedal bracket
I may try to do a couple easy things today but I feel like I did a triathlon yesterday so I'm not going to get too crazy.

Today was a much lighter day. Got the evap canister moved. Ran some wires through the firewall. Routed the other wiring harnesses but still need to secure all of the wiring on the underside.

Nice. Are you going to have room to install those manifolds with the engine installed? And after that, will you have to build custom pipes downstream?
I actually set it in with the truck manifolds on but they were tight on the firewall. Plenty of room in there to work with the fenders off . The motech exhaust kit is made for either the Camaro or Trailblazer manifolds so it won't be any modifications to make everything fit.

Got a call today from Motech. I should have another pile of parts coming in early next week. Hopefully I can get this thing fired up and rolling by Halloween. Taking the top down and sitting in the Jeep just isn't the same when it's in the garage.

Got the MoCAN harness wired into the gauge cluster tonight.

Just in case anybody else ever needs to know.

The cluster wires are white with a red stripe and white with a gray stripe (They are twisted together on the brown connector). The MoCAN wires are red, gray, blue, and yellow.

Cut the wires in the Jeep harness.

The cut ends that go to the cluster get the red and gray wires (marked CAN cluster). Red stripe to red wire, gray stripe to gray wire.

The cut ends that go into the harness in the dash get the blue and yellow wires (marked CAN TIPM). Red stripe to blue wire, gray stripe to yellow wire.

Man, this is really coming together. Very excited for you. It's a dream of mine to one day do this on my 07 JKU. For now, I'm living vicariously through your swap. If you wouldn't mind sharing what your budget was for the swap I'd love to know.

With the cost of the Jeep, engine, parts, and motech kit I will end up under $22k. Motech is pretty spot on with their kit pricing. As long as you get a 2010+ LS you don't really have much extras to buy. My L92 is out of an 07 so I had some sensors that needed to be updated. Otherwise just littles things like heater hose and factory style zip ties but other than that they give you just about everything. I would budget about $8k (without the engine and trans) if you were going to do it yourself. $6k for the Motech kit, $700 for exhaust, $1300 for driveshafts.
