:cheesy: :cheesy: I am so there!!!

We sat in a restaurant for the first time last night. It was less than 25% capacity and there was some ridiculous shit that staff had to deal with, but four of us sat at a table without plastic shield things and enjoyed a relatively normal meal and a beer. It was nice, but no way the restaurant survives for long with 30 people in a place designed for 200.

Do you think everyone is scared to go out? I figured there would be lines waiting to get into restaurants

I truly believe it will be a mix of that. I think some people will stay locked down for months. I think others will be going back to life as normal pretty quick.

I also think it is a mix, and I would add to the mix the fact that many people who are not afraid to go simply won't make the choice to do so until "going out" means getting to do so in a more normal way. The restaurant had a one page electronic menu instead of the normal 15 page paper menu, no condiments on the table, and some other little things that didn't necessarily impact our dining experience but certainly are a departure from what would be a normal experience in a place like that.

I’m in Ohio this weekend, it was the same here. Fucking amazing to get a decent dinner at a restaurant.

I’ve been working on the road the last several months. I’m so sick of to go orders and shitty drive thru.

I agree, I missed sitting in a restaurant, so sick of drive through. Have also noticed the cups and such not on the tables anymore but I’ll take that over drive through.

As an owner I'm happy to hear people want to sit down. I was hesitant to even open the floor. We're at the 50% capacity rule here but every table has to be 6ft so I'm more like 25% open. On the 1st we're allowed to go 75% but again with the 6ft rule so I cant do anything about getting more tables. Not allowed to set out salt/pepper shakers or anything of that sort. Cups can only be refilled with a new glass (which was always a rule).

I would support you if I was closer [emoji106], do you actually have to set a new coffee cup down instead of refill them? We are getting refills here

Thank you! I think (don't quote me) it's fine if they're bringing something to pour it in. They don't want used cups going to refill stations for the possiblity of contamination if that makes sense. This shit is getting out of hand with people overthinking things in my opinion. I just got yelled at by a lady at Costco for not standing right on the little dot. I refused to go there because of the mandatory mask rule but we ran out of sugar and oil.

How the fuck can you even stay in business at this rate?

Sorry the state is fucking you over.

CHEERS from a bar that’s operating at maybe 10% capacity but not because of any reason other than the fact that nobody’s out here. Hell, I don’t think they ever closed during all this bullshit [emoji1303][emoji631]

We're actually doing really well. I feel Montana is leading on trying to get things back to normal or the new normal rather. Even before this whole mess takeout was a huge chunk of our business. So when things kicked off we didn't have to scramble the ways others did. My wife and I feel very fortunate but sadly around 5 restaurants have closed here. I never want to see a business close, not even a competitor. McDonald's needs its Burger King. I did have a brand new salad bar installed that was the price of a new car the day before all the closer's. There's no talk of being able to use them and personally I would say years. I call it my beautiful talking piece.
