What problems does your Jeep have this week?

My arb twin wasn’t working yesterday. Turned it on first thing and don’t remember hearing the compressor cycle on. Wheeled all day with no lockers thinking I had them on lol. Gotta call arb on Monday and see what the warranty is like and if they can help me out.

Well I got an appointment to take the jeep into the dealership tomorrow morning to investigate the airbag light. Hopefully it's clockspring and I can get it replaced under warranty.

Yikes, I am glad to know that you're safe.

Thanks. it’s was a slow speed failure Glad it didn’t happen during the 65 mph section that would have been a whole other ride. Update it’s all back together did both sides find the source of the popping it’s in the Xfer case ugh. Damn things like herpes keeps on giving.

Driver side front axle seal, I think my buddy jacked up the seal we just installed a month ago. :naw:

Finally heard from the dealership. Clockspring is bad, they have the part ordered and should have everything wrapped up by tomorrow.

Pinion Bearing.jpg

Turns out I had another issue with the rear end. After replacing a bad wheel bearing I realized what I though was one noise was two. This is the outer pinion bearing. Can't imagine why it was noisy?
Couldn't get the pinion out any normal way. I guess the bearing had gotten really hot. Had to use a small sledge and beat the hell out of it. My original plan was to reuse my gear set but had to order a new set because the pinion is ruined.
The worse part is that I have a new rear end coming but it is at least two months out and it's summer in the mountains. Wasn't about to be without my Jeep for the summer. What was originally supposed to be $120.00 bucks for new bearings got much more expensive.

(and that's my wife's hand, not mine)

Sure I'll join in on this fun. I've been working on my jeep on and off since I went to Drummond island. Changed rear end and replaced transmission mount. Something still vibrates.

Not how I wanted to start the family beach vacation. Rock kicked up by car in front of us and there was no avoiding it. Sounded like a gun shot and almost went all the way through. Shot glass all over the dash and the wife and I. IMG_20200615_095330.jpg IMG_20200615_095453.jpg
