So as many know, ever since installing these COs, I’ve had a drool in the front passenger that I can’t figure out. I already upped my springs to 250 over 300 but I’m still almost 3” preload with a droop. Took the struts off today, checked the reservoirs and no oil bypass showing up. Oil levels were the same on both sides measuring up to the separation plunger. Swapped the sides the struts were on and same result.

Going to up my lower springs to 350 now and see what happens. Tired of messing with these damn things.

Damn that's got to be frustrating. I hope you can figure it out.

Did the mounting bracket for that side get made wrong possibly? Does it all measure the same with the coil overs off and the Jeep level?

I was wondering that same thing. Bracket on axle or frame side may be off.

There may be something to that. Jeff’s snd my jeep are built almost identically, and I have the same droop preload issue on the front passenger. I agree, if that bracket were shorter, that would correct the issue.

So are you guys thinking the Evo bracket or the axle mounting bracket? I’ve never really considered either.

You should be able to pick some frame points to measure the CO mounts from side to side to see if they are off. What a pain in the ass. Like Mark said, you could alco measur some frame points from a level surface with the Jeep on jackstands too.

Jeff is there any way the frame could have gotten twisted?

I doubt the frame is bent especially if there was no sagging prior to install on that side. Not saying I’m a badass but the frame in my silver Jeep isn’t bent and that thing has been abused.

It started as soon as he installed them so I’m guessing it’s the coilover itself or the mount on the coilover or axle. Have you checked pressures in the CO? Have you measured the CO out of the Jeep to make sure they are the same length?

Yeah. I’ve checked everything. And swapping the setups from corner to corner the same corner still sags which tells me it’s a spring rate.

In my mind, which means nothing, you would think the opposite corner would go up. How does one corner sag?

Wish I knew. All mounts are at the same height. Only thing I can guess is that between the fuel tank and Rock Hard skids it just drags that corner down.
