Teraflex - Bad rep for a reason or isolated cases?

I have the teraflex Nebo roof rack. As much as I didn’t want to support them, after months of searching, I couldn’t find anything else like it that fit what I wanted a rack for. I’ll say I paid too much for it, but I also don’t have a comparison to anything like it. I think it was around $1300 for everything.
It’s the only thing I’ve bought from Teraflex and to be honest, I love it. Maybe I just installed it right (it took me 9 hours).
I hate his videos and wanted to support him even less after watching the install video.

I noticed years ago they show off a rack in many of their videos.

I have had no issues with my TF products and enjoy the videos. BUT I have also seen TONS of posts of having issues with TF products and totally understand if others dont want to risk it.

I like that for the most part on this forum I can ask for input and I get honest input though. I would rather have that then get bullshitted by a famous YT couple by vendors who give them free shit.

Ive had their tire carrier since 2015/2016 and have had zero issues with it. I purchased it when I first got 35’s and am now on my second set of 37’s. A friend had an older version purchased in 2013 that had a weld that was cracking. Teraflex replaced it free of charge to the new version. There were obvious differences, (Better welds, thicker material used and improved reinforcement) from old to new. So yes there were issues with the early versions.

I also have one of their R44 front axles. It came with caster correction, reinforced upper control arm & track bar brackets, boxed lower control arm brackets, 1/2” thick tubes and outboard (vs stock location) positioned shock mounts for better shock/frame clearance. Ive been happy with its performance and I’ve put over 65K miles on it.

Obvious differences meaning they changed the design due to it being shit and dangerous and yet they didn’t recall. Glad you are okay with that.

Their customer service has been good to me on the few issues I’ve had with some of their products. I cant complain.

Um ok? I run parts from multiple manufacturers on my jeep. I wouldn’t consider myself a “fan” of any particular one.
I’m a Dodger fan if that help you though. 🤷‍♂️
You literally came on to a thread ripping teraflex for the shot quality they are to praise them. That would indicate a fan to me. I didn’t ask if you had other parts, that’s not what this thread is about.

Thank you for saving us all. Your story of success trumps the plethora of other stories of teraflex shit in this thread.
