I have to admit I always liked the little 2002-2007 Jeep Liberty with a small lift and 33" tires. So to be honest, I kinda like the look of this too. It's the same reason I like the Samurais with a small lift and bigger tires. Just a little something to putt around in, not care, and have some fun. Kinda like shooting big caliber rifles. It's a lot of fun, but sometimes plink'n cans with a .22 rifle can be just as entertaining.
 
We should all be thankful they are making these. If vehicles like this and the new Cherokee didn't exist neither would the Wrangler in a few years. If you don't like that reality raise your concerns in the next election. 52 mpg fleet average CAFE in the not too distant future, these type vehicles have to exist. And wait til you see it in real life to pass final judgement, I bet you'll be surprised. As a replacement for the Compass or Patriot that is...

Whats funny is there's still a MK replacement to be announced. This is going to be even smaller than those. I agree with this though and this is what people don't understand about why Jeep is doing this. Hopefully they won't ruin the Wranglers but these are a step in the right direction. The Cherokees were a royal fuck up design wise. These at least have a few classic Jeep lines, boxy-ish cab, 7 slot grille, round headlights, and they're going to have a few new things too like that removable roof on some models that I'm really interested to see what the hell that is lol
 
Yeah the interior is a turn on but I'm not feeling the one Autoguide had on their website with the red interior accents. If thats color matched on every model then that's a little bleh otherwise I have no complaints. I look forward to tomorrows debut.
 
Yup, 30 mpg on gas and lucky non-US diesel get close to 260 pounds of torque and about 40 mpg. Its not the government that prevents diesel use stateside, that's a tired argument based in an alternate reality.

That thing is disgusting, honestly what is going on with Jeep, this crap design and they want too put IFS in the wrangler they need to stop smoking the strong stuff!!
