Evo Tire Carrier Specs

Anyone have a side shot picture of a 12.5" tire in the carrier? I'm interested in how much space is between the back window and mounted spare.

Welcome!
Only other two decent swing-outs that I know of are Orfab & Genright. I think Hinrichs ran a Genright but not 100% sure. He may be able to say what the clearance is...
Honestly, even if you pick up the extra 4 inches or so, I can't believe that they would be anywhere as strong as the EVO carrier. That SOB is bomb-proof.

I hear ya - I had a set of Spyder LED taillights that I really liked but trust me, once you get that carrier on you won't care about the tail lights! Plus the round lights are kinda retro and they are LED's so they're pretty bright.

From the pics you find of the back it does look like the tail lights get blocked ....has any one had any issues with that?

I agree, you can see the brake lights at pretty much every angle but with the tire in the carrier there is a certain spot where the opposite side light is blocked.
Since I was in one accident already I didn't want to give some stupid ass an excuse that he didn't see my brake lights so I fabbed up these two. With these you can see
at least one brake light no matter where you are behind me now. Not a plug, but you can see how I made these on page 9 of my build thread

Note: found pic online, not mine.

Yup, you're 100% correct and I should have stated that even with the stock carrier the wheel will block one side of the tail lights at an angle.
From behind you can see both of the lights clearly. The holes in the vertical braces also allow the brake lights to be seen through them. I'm sure every guy running this setup has had a cop following them plus passed inspections with them installed. There is no issue with seeing the brake lights.
As I noted, one accident and 5 months getting the damn thing back to pre-accident condition gets you looking at stuff you normally wouldn't. I installed those lights because I couldn't
find a third brake light solution I liked so I went with one on either side.

Shame on me, I totally missed the sarcasm...
Hit the brakes in the same photo and the lights stand out just fine. Also, if you are following me that closely and I hit the brakes I'm in my second accident...
move back some and the lights show up just fine.
