I hope your right. Ill be ditching the d30 so hopefully they will work up front too...
A d44 gear set is a d44 gear set (assuming jeep actually is a true 44 like I think it is). The carrier is where it can become interesting.

I don't see why his 4.88s wouldn't work in the rear, there isn't any difference that I know of
I don't know why either, but the gears themselves are specifically marked rubicon which tells me it's a carrier thing.
The rubi carrier has more splines then a standard JK d44 rear end and the one side shaft is longer then the other compared to the normal jk d44 being same on both sides.
I knew the shafts were different lengths but didn't think it was relevant to the gears themselves. So I guess maybe the carriers might have a different bolt pattern.

I mean, surely if im getting a new front axle (pr44 hopefully) and a locker for my rear 44, i can order so that it works with those ring gears....i hope lolI knew the shafts were different lengths but didn't think it was relevant to the gears themselves. I know that parts trueNow that I think about it I'm pretty sure the locker is the carrier and that would be the difference..
ARB also makes an air locker that is a direct replacement for the rubi e locker.I know that parts true
My plan was for an eaton elocker. But just for giggles, would that arb go in my non-rubi 44 housing?ARB also makes an air locker that is a direct replacement for the rubi e locker.
If you had the rubi shafts since they are different splines and different lengths then I do see why it wouldnt. Im sure there are some out there that could confirm that true or not.My plan was for an eaton elocker. But just for giggles, would that arb go in my non-rubi 44 housing?
It sounds like you just need a Prorock 60 rear Matt lol
One step at a time moneybags
Lolol you dont need no damn 42s on that 2 door!!!I wish I was moneybags! My axles would be in and be sitting on 42s lol
