Talk about service!! Just got a call from my service advisor and it was just to let me know that they got all the parts in and that they should have Rubicat all wrapped up and ready to go by the end of the day Tuesday. :wings:

@ WiscoHR. Tell your dealer to look at updates. The 15 and 16 model years had a software glitch. It has been corrected with the latest software update. The 15 and 16s engine light will flash for a moment under load and around 4000 to 4500 rpm's and go away simply leaving a stored code. The vehicle never really misfires or runs rough. Different issue from the 12 and 13 MY. The update will fix it.

new head

when this happened to my 2012 sport the bill said head assembly, and the price made me think it was a complete head, all covered,I was worried my suspension lift and tires would cause a problem but it didnt

Thanks, that what I found out. It's at the dealer right now getting the computer flashed. I figured it was something like this since it always ran fine even when the light was flashing.

Good deal Eddie. Hopefully no more issues.

Stay away from the mall. :cheesy:

As I have said many times, I hate warranty work because of the hassle.

I swear my Jeep was built on Friday afternoon out of Monday morning parts.

No head issue thankfully, but had air in the new cooling system with plastic bits in the radiator, oil pressure sending unit the first few thousand miles. oil pump last year. Funny shifting and hard and soft top leaks they cant seem to replicate. And the latest was a new transfer case and input shaft followed by what looked like a leaky front output shaft seal that turned out to be a disconnected vent tube. Bad thing was after I told them the front output shaft seal (because the fluid was being slung off of it), that I had to drive back over to point out the fluid to the service advisor and the mechanic (right at the output shaft). Service advisor said the good news was they were not going to charge me. I looked at him and said I wouldnt have paid for that anyway. I only had 28k on it and the transfer case was just replaced a few weeks before just under 36 months. That was all on a very babied mall crawler.

Now I am sure I have a bent rear flange from windrock, but that is just the weak parts and poor driving on my part. Thinking Ten factory rear shafts now. I still love this jeep though. Finally going to start fixing it up some more.

Here's a list of everything they did.

A super BIG THANKS needs to go out to Carson City Jeep for taking care of us, so quickly and for helping us to get all the work covered under warranty. I would highly recommend them to anyone in the area :thumb:

Cool. Looks like they put a whole assy on there.

EDIT: Looks like it comes with everything except cams.

Reminds me of that scene in ferris bueller's day off. A couple of knuckleheads flying around in rubicat to the Star Wars theme song.
