Control arms. Teraflex or Metalcloak

Every time I see anything regarding Metal Joke I just laugh. When I was looking at getting a lift a while back I had contacted them to ask about their game changer. They said it has the most flex and rides the best in the entire industry! When they told me that, I asked them if it was better than EVOs DD and they said yes!!!! How the hell is a standard style coil and shock going to perform better than a coilover system???? After I heard that, I completely took MC out of the running for a lift, or any part for that matter.

Although aluminum, the RE ones you have shown are "forged" and the Curries are "billet"
Just out of curiosity, any idea what type of aluminum each are made out of?

Echoing what Wayalife said with a little tweak.

I'm sure that given the reputations of these two company's this isn't the case, but.

Billet does not always equate to a stronger product as you can have a billet part made from weaker material. I'm sure this isn't the case with curry being such a reputable company. Likewise with the proper high quality material, with good cast-ability a forged part can be stronger than a lesser quality billet.
The true deciding factor is what grade aluminum was used on each. If both were made from equal grade than the billet is stronger.

I found the Currie spec. The RE doesn't seem to be published, so my guess is that's intentional...

Wayolife, did you see these RE arms at Sema? What are your thoughts?

I did see them and while they look cool enough, I didn't like the fact that there's nothing to protect the base of them like the EVO and Currie arms have. Control arms take a beating and I'd be concerned that repeated hits/grinding would eventually compromise the aluminum. I could be wrong though. Another concern for me is that RE is now owned by Transamerica/Polaris and a lot of their parts are made in China.

Yup. I would also throw in, where it's made and where the aluminum comes from can make a difference as well. I don't know the answer to this question on either of the arms.

I think RE still made in America, that was stated on there web site. Also heard PS customs is also owned by Transamerica/Polaris. When I spoke to the PS customs rep. at the last years TDS he said they will continue to make there products in America until further notice.

Psc told me the same. Hoping to get their rear bumper before that changes, and as it seems the previous owner no longer with the company at all, I can imagine it won't be long before that changes. I hope not, but who knows
