ARB Fridges ?

Just putting it out there. 4wp is offering I think 10% this weekend on ARB fridges.

On that note. Did you guys buy a warranty when you purchased a fridge? Im thinking 80 bucks for 3 years is cheap peace of mind. Thoughts?

If you read through the whole thread, you'll see tons of reasons listed, which is why we went with one sooner than later. Ours is already going strong in the garage and the wife is trying to take it over with her stuff. I've tried explaining to her that it's only for beer when it's at home.

Ok, I think i got 4 pages into the thread and some one suggested using it as a beer fridge in the garage, followed by your reply up of checking something in the garage and I was sold.

We will miss you on the trail this weekend. I was good meeting you and traveling with you while you were here. Happy Reading!
Yes, a great time was had by all. I really appreciate you guys showing me a good time on the trail. Moab over New Years - come on!

That was me. I literally use it daily for beer.

Negative. I never buy extended warranties.

I have one of the new Elements weatherproof coming soon, and I got to see it in person today at a show. It's niiiice! I should get mine within the next couple weeks. Stoked!

I'll do a full report after I get it and use it a bit.

I use it religiously for Costco runs...and having cold beverages wherever you go becomes second nature...when I first met you, I reached into my fridge and offered you a beer...

I do recall that and thank you. I'm starting to see how convinient this thing is. It's stayed plugged in somewhere since we got it.

Did exactly that today. Bought it, plugged it in and drove straight to Costco. It was nice loading it up and not having to rush straight home.

Niiice! You guys are going to make me spend some money. Are you running a dual battery or just one deep cycle?

I'm running deep cycle bat. I got my fridge for $600 back at the holiday sale. Still cost me a grand by time I got the cover, battery and wiring harness, etc.

Fuck it, it's just money and I was sick of dealing with ice the last five years on every trip. Lol.

Two days parked with the fridge plugged in = dead Jeep.

I guess it's a good time to upgrade from a stock battery.
Should always run them off a deep cycle. From what I read they will destroy the longevity of a normal battery. Sounds like you may need to adjust the built on voltage cutoff too.

You can run them fine on a regular battery. Been doing it for 5 years.

Of course. People also run 42s on Dana30s.

People are asking for recommendations and suggestions. And most people reading this thread should know that running a deep cycle, aftermarket is a better recommendation. Doesn't mean it is the only option.
