Rubicon trip in August - anyone up?

For the sake of being able to run the trail in this time frame, figure a good group size would be around 10 or fewer.

Who would be up?

I have to back out. I cant get the friday and monday off for travel days. I'm a bit to far away to make it a weekend run. This is disappointing. Hope those of you that go have a great time, have fun, safe travels.

First time here as well, but I have all the GPS coordinates and maps for it. I'm confident even if it's just the three of us we will have a good time. FiresJK is out there this weekend, too bad we couldn't have got him along too.

I just got back from running Deer Valley during the Tahoe HiLo's annual poker run, so I'm thinking, maybe. It's a stretch for me do join your group for your Rubicon trip this weekend. Are you planning on driving from Reno on the morning of the 26th (looks like a 3-4hr drive on highway 50) and then drive to rubicon spring, camp that night then out on Sunday. Sound like a very tight schedule.

It would be great if you could join us. I believe we are all planning on camping near the trail head. Possibly Stumpy meadows (about 20 min down Wentworth springs rd) Friday night. This way we can hit the trail early. And then camp in Rubicon Springs sat night.

I'm not sure what that means? I'm a serious maybe. I was out last weekend so all my camping gear's still on the garage floor. I'm having my rig checked out tomorrow. I guess I should have started with, hey, ok if I join your group? I think I read somewhere that you were trying to get together before to discuss logistics. Keep me posted.

I'm in, let's do this thing. I started from the Tahoma side last year with the Reno 4x4 group and I'll be joining them again in Sept but I really want to do the whole thing. Keep me posted on meet time/place. I don't have CB but I have a Ham radio.

FYI I'm pretty sure it's been raining most afternoons lately

I'm in Sparks, I think Chili and JeepsySoul (think I've seen you at the gas pumps at safeway on vista) are also, not sure about Quicksliver, we could get together for a pow wow tomorrow night or just touch base by phone

And yes... I definitely go to the Safeway gas station on vista ;)

Cool, I was hoping that was you, really no need to drive over here, basically, we just need to know the meet place for friday night. My plan is to drive over mid day friday
