Caught the Bug
I always thought that was the good thing about getting the Rubicon- low gears came with it along with front/back D44 (even though most folks upgrade axles anyway). I did a mock build and it made the 4.10 gears an optional item to add. I can't wait to start seeing these Jeeps in person.

I believe that the diesel will be late availability. If I recall, something was said in a meeting about it having to be re-certified by the EPA. I know there is a hold on Grand Cherokee and Ram 1500 EcoDiesels right now because of that.


But man Eddie, you'll need a bigger garage here soon!! :crazyeyes:

I want one but does it make sense?

It is a Wrangler of course it doesn't make sense so what. My JKU Hard Rock is a 2015 so yeah it shouldn't be traded in, but when I go to the LA Auto show and these damn things are cool........

Thing is I am a diesel fan so I think I want a JLU diesel.

Dam it Eddie! What am I gonna do?

Nope, never said we'd be getting a 2-door, just that we loved the way they look. In the end, looks aren't everything and a 4-door has just proven itself to be more capable and more practical for our needs. :yup:

Hey congrats I am about to do the same but thinking of a manual I hear the new manual is supposed to be pretty good ? What have you heard? Also does Carson jeep honor the treadlighlty discount. It is way cool that they have a jeep with an ursaminor on it out front.

Unfortunately, don't know anything about the manual itself but a few of the people who've wheeled it state that the clutch seemed a bit soft and easy to stall on the rocks. Of course, they may just not have known how to wheel a stick.

Didn't ask about any kind of discount being that at I'm kind of at their mercy. Just hoping they don't stick it to me.

My wife last week was like, why do you want another Wrangler that looks the same? I said, “Baby, they look nothing alike. Look at the grill, fender flares, slanted windshield, etc...”. She’s not completely sold yet, but I’m working on it lol
