Iíve noticed some flutter on my JL when going 75, but Iíve been thinking itís more flex in the hood and not the latches. The few times itís happened it seems to be the center of the hood and not near the latches.

No flutter at all with the new JL latches on my JK! Even at 80+

Finally installed mine. I love them. So easy to change. Much more solid and easier to open and close.

Put mine on tonight. I think they look good, and they feel solid. They actually pull the fender and hood together.

The true test will be when I hit 80+ and look up over the cage bar to see if I still have wings, or if a hood has taken their place.

Had to drill out the lowers, and used the photo from Strike Force Zebra in this thread.
Hardest part was pulling my inner liners out, and now I have a bunch of small projects I can get to.

JL hood latches on a JK

I put some on a while back. Solved the hood flutter problem totally. Hood lines are also even. Just had to oblong holes in hood to raise the hood portion of the latch so it all aligned. Bottom stayed in place.

About us
ďwayoflifeĒ is a moniker that Iíve been using for 20 years now and I chose it because I think it does a great job of explaining, in simple terms, the passion I have for Jeeps and the Jeep way of life. This is a lifestyle that transcends age, gender and race as the only thing you need to be a part of it is a love for the outdoors, a desire to explore, a yearning to take on a challenge and a will to conquer it. Over the years, Cindy and I have attempted to capture the essence of this lifestyle through photographs and videos and share it with others around the world. And, this is how WAYALIFE was born.
