I got the same vibe on the retro CJ style curvature. It looks like they are trying to invert the older styles as they did with the concept CJ 66. Parts from all different version of wranglers.
Its not that bad looking but some how its throwing me a feeling of Patriot when I look at it. Of course not exactly but it just throws that thought to me.

It's a throw back to the old CJ days. I will say that it's a shame that they moved the parking lights back onto the fenders like the old TJ though.

I can't stand the turn lights on the fenders!

I like the bend and really like the headlight going in to the slots!!

Don't like how squared off the slots are though and the really should have kept the turn signals in the grill not the fenders.

I like the lights worked into the slots, old stylings. It looks somewhat shorter than the jk grill. Each new jeep model gets a smaller grill to slant the hood more, not much of a fan. I've always liked the squared off feel of the older models. Never liked the turn lights in the fenders. Looks like small lights will be modded into the grill like the TJ's .

I saw them testing them last summer out in the Nevada desert. Other than the A-pillar being angled back it looks pretty close to the JKU
