Very nice!!! You must be loving all the room!

You know it!! So much nicer than living in a condo on a hill.

Can you shed some light/opinion/thoughts on Trail Grapplers and snow...not offroad snow...MTs are great for that...Im talking about ON road snow thats slushy/compacted/not deep.

Well, today didn't get up above 28° and so the roads were slick where sun had a chance to melt things enough to turn things slick. So far, they've been doing surprisingly well for an MT. I really expected to be all over the place but, with the exception of once instance where the ESP kicked in while braking and I slowly slid through a stop sign, they've been handling great.

Just curious (you obviously don't have to answer if you don't want to) but what made you move from CA to NV? Was it the jeeping life, politics, etc?

More than anything, we love it up here. We have the Rubicon, Fordyce and a myriad of other trails nearby and the wide open desert to explore as well. The cost of living is cheaper, gas is cheaper, the politics are better here, there's no state income tax and doing business as a Nevada corp is a lot nicer too. What's not to love.

Plus you're a whole lot closer to MTG and Sharkey. And what's not to love about that?! :idontknow:

I was only asking because I would like to relocate my family out west from this sh!thole (NYC tristate area) and was looking at Carson city, a few places in Colorado, Montana, etc. I'm a mountains/woods guy so I definitely get your motives. Congrats on the new digs, hope it brings your family many happy times.

PS, I know you guys run your own companies so you may be the wrong person to ask but how's the job market out there? My wife is an attorney and I'm in hospitality management (hotels and restaurants). I was looking on trulia for homes in Carson city and the amount of forclosures is insane. Nearly 50 pages of homes for sale/forclosed where as other places in the country only yield half of those results including large cities.

Thanks. Of all the places I've been and wheeled, this where I love the most. It's essentially a small town with big city conveniences, everyone is uncomfortably nice (compare to what I'm used to in LA), you get seasons without getting hammered by snow in the winter and you have the choice of wheeling in the mountains or the desert just by heading west or east.

Hmm, bigger place, more room, relaxed atmosphere, better financial position. Those are some big changes. Is it possible there might be some little Oh Jeepers in the near future?

Oh, right, I forgot to mention that housing is stupid cheap here!! As far as jobs go, Reno is just 20 min to the north and there's never any traffic. Sharkey and MTG are attorneys there and of course, in addition to an international airport, Reno has a ton of casino hotels. :yup:

Love Colorado too, just don't have the wide open deserts that I love so much.

My wife and I would be "instantly" rich by moving out west. We aren't actually rich, but we do have some money saved up, but around where I live now (currently rent for $1850 a month) a house you guys would even CONSIDER living in runs about 700K, with 15-20K in annual taxes. That would buy you an ok house, probably under 2000sq/ft, less than .5 acres and an attached garage. For 400K in all of the above mentioned areas I was looking at, you can get MUCH MUCH more for your money. My only concern is work, as in, finding it.
