If you want to die in a vintage Jeep, run a single bowl master cylinder and don’t maintain it.

Dual master upgrade on the way.

I decided to not give up on the front axle, so I swapped over the complete knuckle assembly. Something was bent on the original axle hub. It seemed to fix 95% of the issue.

Finished up the brakes today, and put the tub back of the frame for the final time.

Just a little body work and assembly left.

I painted the cowl and firewall before putting it on.

Nice upgrades! That Cowl & Firewall look clean. Was the MC a bolt on kit or did you have to fab shit up?

There is an old dude named Herm the Overdrive guy. I say old, because the company it’s still mail order. Anyways he makes the brackets and kits.

No fabing, just cutting brackets off the frame and drilling.

More work today, the donor tubs dash had layers and layers of paint. Once removed I discovered original decals and markings. These Jeep was set up with the lever fording was water. It basically seals off the Tcase.

I’m using original red primer, just like the factory.
