It's time to get started!

I would recommend at least 3"bump stops front and back. You're going to shred up your tires, but without a lift you'll be riding on your bump stops.

I thought I had my rear good with my 35" TGs and no bumpstop extensions. Then went on the 2015 kickoff run and cut all the way through the tread blocks. If you do anything to allow more droop in the rear (shocks) it will rub even more.

i am going to try 2" extensions in the back and 1.5" in the front. the front seemed to be clear when i flexed it last week. the tires were the limiting factor in the rear... once i add the rear bump stops i want to flex it again to check the front again.

i know the pain... i got myself in a bind last week, after i had checked the flex and had seen where i was going to have issues, i got myself in a position where i maxed out the flex and had to keep going, tore some small chunks off of 5 lugs on one of the rear tires...

i have ordered 2" synergy rear bumpstop extensions hoping this will limit my flex in the rear enough so that i don't rub, i thought about going 3" as suggested but like Orlam said i would be riding the bumpstops. i also ordered 1.5" teraflex front bumpstop extenders, there is less room between the bumpstop and the pad in the front then in the rear and a 2" would get me hitting the bumpstops with the smallest pothole.

if this does not alleviate the rubbing then i will probably move to a 3" enforcer untill i can get what i really want.

crawler conceptz ultra series tire carrier is on the way and so is an Evo rear fascia, bolt on D ring mounts and the protek skid system since i sit so low!

I thought it was going to be my complete skid system, turned out to be 2/3 of the protek skids and my rear fascia! Still not disappointed lol. The fascia is a lot beefier than I expected

Just installed my trucklites, and i have recieved my spacers for my bumpstops! i will install those as soon as possible and cycle the suspension. i finished receiving my skids and also got the shackle mounts, i will install everything this weekend. just waiting for my tire carrier and hopefully i'll be set for a while.

on another note, it has started to get ridiculously hot and i'm still running my trektop nx, does anybody else experience excessive flapping from the rear where the top overlaps the rear window? it only does it on the highway during the day doing 75-80 mph, but it does not do it at night going 75-80 mph... thinking of doing a velcro mod.

So I finally got a chance to get some poser shots. Since my last update I got my crawler concepts tire carrier installed and I did install the rear bumpstop extensions.

Overall impressions of the tire carrier are good, and it seems pretty stout, I still put a steel cable around it for safety reasons. The install was straight forward, I only watched/used the install video on YouTube since it didn't come with instructions to install it.

I also reinstalled my hard top, I have to say I like the way it looks a lot more with the hard top. I never posted what I did about the flapping on the trektop but I did put some stick on Velcro strips at the top of the rear window on the ?plastic hanger?and adhered the other side to the canvas overhang. It stopped all the annoying flapping so I was happy about it.

Today I removed the front crash bar and the air dam. While I was doing this I accidentally cut the vacuum bracket off, so a relocation bracket has been ordered, right now I'm running the zip tie mod. I also rotated the swaybar disconnect motor using the metalcloak method, I just bought a long bolt from the hardware store and two nuts. I rotated the motor the way their install video has it done and then ran the new long bolt through the rubber mount ran two nuts on the bolt then I screwed it into the new mounting hole on the motor then tightened the two nuts up against the motor. I will post photos of this when I get a chance

Bump stop extensions doing their job! No more cut treads!! I did some light wheeling before I had them installed and cut my passenger rear tire treads pretty deep, it is now mounted as my spare.

Enjoy!

I have also come to learn that these big ass tires cause other issues. I am certain now that my driver side front wheel has ?negative camber? And I have also started to hear some squeaking coming from that wheel, I hope, this prompted me to do some googling and Eddies write up for changing the unit bearing came up. I read through it and the issue that Rubicat had seems similar to mine right now, I have ordered the Timkin unit bearing and Crown ball joints for the drivers side hopefully this will straighten the wheel out. If this doesn't straighten it out I am suspecting I welded on the c gussets with onto a bent c.... I haven't taken it to get aligned since I put the wheels and tires on because no one local to me has a machine big enough to align it and I also didn't mess with the suspension so I never made it a priority. I was able to get the wheels and tires balanced though! If this doesn't resolve the issue I see a)a lot of tire rotations in my future, b) a new PR44 housing, or maybe c) PR60 5x5.5 pattern, a new set of wheels and some wheel spacers.... Only time will tell and how fast I can save my OT pennies

Here is a picture of the bolt I put in to hold my rotated swaybar motor

It is a M10x100 1.50 pitch. Used the appropriate washer and nuts

Enforcer is on its way!

as fun as it was to run the 37's on stock, i feel like my jeep was more capable being completely stock! It had more flex with the stock tires! Granted, i have about 2 more inches ground clearance under the axles, i also have two inches less off up travel! i gave in and pieced together the enforcer from northridge so that i could apply the forum discount code!

List of Parts Ordered:
Front 3" Plush Rides
Rear 3" Plush Rides
EVO Front LCA's
EVO Rear Track Bar Bracket
EVO Drag Link Flip Kit
EVO Front 3" Bumpstops
Synergy Rear 3" Bumpstops
EVO 8.9" HD Swaybar End Links
EVO 12.5" HD Swaybar End Links
Crown Front Extended Brake Lines
Crown Rear Extended Brake Lines
J.E. Reel 1350 Front Drive Shaft
Fox Racing 2.0 Shocks

JFYI: if you order the kit and select the drag link flip kit and the Fox Shocks from the dropdown menu you will not be able to apply the forum discount code to those parts, once the drive shaft was added the discount code took effect but only for the drive shaft, i compared carts and with only replacement HD rear swaybar end links in the kit pieced together and the synergy rear bump stops you can save $201.11 after the forum discount code is applied!!
