What is the big black rocker on the driver's side below the gate catch/latch? Is that like a kiddie lock or something?

Perfect place to mount some quickfists to hold a tow strap or any number of other things. I love that they included these mounting points.

It is very cool that Jeep added them and from what I've been told, the tailgate is designed to hold 85 lbs. of weight in addition to the factory spare. Assuming you mount an oversize spare on a bumper tire carrier, you can carry a LOT of weight on the tailgate. :yup:

I forgot about this damage. Now that tailgate will be able to hold a 40

Yeah, you ain't kidding. Just like the e-lockers and the Rubicon front axles were for the JK back in the day. Dirt cheap for the first year and then a small fortune there after :rolleyes2:
