The way the 2012 mounts the brake line is to the axle as in the pic. At full droop the line from the frame up top to the axle mount comes under tension before I get to full droop.

I would just unhook them from the axle and route it over the axle breathing tube.

But I have extended brake lines so it could be different the. What you want to do. I would invest in extended brake lines though.

What else do you need? I have spare parts from my lift.

OverlanderJK I really appreciate your quick response earlier. I got the front brake line tucked away and had to take them out of their brackets. Brake line extensions definitely are the things I need to get to remedy the problem. I intend to get in touch with TeraFlex and get some answers on why their lift is not compatible with 2012 as it was with previous years. Again thanks.

I have the brackets if you want them. Just packed them up with the stock parts today. Let me know.

Sorry for interrupting but how tall would the jack stands need to be.. about?
I did my 2.5" BB with 3 ton jack stands from sears and it was just high enough. I've since bought 6 ton stands from harbor freight which are much better and they even work on my sons jku with a 4" lift. although I need to put some blocks under my jack to get it high enough.

You could probably get away with the 3 ton, which are about 18" tall but I would go with the 6 ton which are about 22" tall. It will be easier to drop the axle and work on it.

cool that covers one thing thanks! I would also like to know... if i'd be ok to use a 15" jack and a wood block to lift up the Jeep and lower the axle afterwards?!?

Don't see any reason why not other than a smaller jack may not have as big of a footprint and may not be as stable.

Ok. Those help. Yes your extensions are what I need to do but I can Gerry rig until then. I greatly appreciate the help. Teraflex needs to do some 2012 research because this lift needs additional parts to work on the 2012 and up models.

Thanks again.

What exactly is missing and how did you remedy. I thought the kit came with brake brackets to extend the drop.

Overlander has line extensions but also a different set up with likely more articulation/brake line pull.

So I found an old budget boost off a 2009 jk. Owner said it never really saw dirt and they are selling it pretty cheap.

My question is whether anything would/should be different from the 09 to fit properly on my 2012.

Any thoughts, issues or concerns buying this lift used.
