Old Crusty- 1958 FC170

Went down to LA yesterday, picked up a winch for the FC. It originally had a PTO driven Ramsey. It still has the factory Ramsey winch bumper luckily.

Spent most of the finishing the turn signal and brake wiring. Started wiring up the gauges.. ImageUploadedByWAYALIFE1388970092.660991.jpgImageUploadedByWAYALIFE1388970112.911783.jpgImageUploadedByWAYALIFE1388970124.812028.jpg

Almost forgot the wayalife decal ImageUploadedByWAYALIFE1388970161.662739.jpg

It's gear drive off the pto (connects to the t-case). So it should. I don't plan on hooking it up at this point.

A very long time ago I had a badass 1973 F350 4x4 with a utility service bed, it also had a front bumper mounted 12,000lbs PTO driven winch......which I found out was the absolute fastest way to burn up your transmission's clutch :icon_crazy: Very difficult to find a good technique to winch, not stall the motor, and actually get yourself recovered. No sir, not a fan of the PTO on trucks.

The FC is looking cooler ever time you post an update

Lol, I bet. I'm scared shitless to run it. If I get to the point of needing a winch it, ill use someone else!

Chris, I spotted this super clean FC150 at the Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale Auction late last night. Not to keen on the Coca-Cola inspired theme, but the truck was pretty sweet. Thought I would share it with you.

12V rewire is finally done, time to clean up and hide the wiring best I can. It's a flat dash with the bottom exposed. Only so much you can do.

I added a tach and had to install a new turnsignal lever. The old one would only turn left :(ImageUploadedByWAYALIFE1390163179.646531.jpgImageUploadedByWAYALIFE1390163196.547507.jpgImageUploadedByWAYALIFE1390163208.298507.jpgImageUploadedByWAYALIFE1390163217.316787.jpg
