Did yoders used to be Blue Gate? When I was little we used to go there for breakfast, we ate at Essenhaus too, there is one of those here within an hour of us. When I was still on the FD and a Amish place would have a fire they would set up a smorgasbord of food for all of us. Mmmmmm

I think Yoders has always been Yoders, as long as I can remember. That’s very cool they would do that! They are definitely good cooks [emoji106]

Aftermarket forced-air induction is so tricky. How much different is that supercharger compared to the OEM one? Did it come as a kit or did someone just kind of slap it together DIY style?

I don't remember the brand but it has an adapter. Factory 1.8l vs new 2.3l, and to top it off, motor is .30 over so it needs a tune bad

Finished the mother in law’s Christmas present this morning. Got about 80 man hours in it. It’s built from pallet wood with a mix of mostly oak and some other unidentifiable woods. Turned out pretty good, as it’s my first time with the distressed wood look. I usually go for stained looks.

Here is a series of build pics for your wood porn fetishes!!!

Your project turned out really nice! I’m thinking about adding a pallet wood effect to our kitchen peninsula. Thanks for the extra motivation!

Making progress on the kitchen refresh. Grouted the tile back splash, finished painting and waxing all the uppers and added pulls:

One side of the front of our house had no light and was really dark. I tried a solar powered flood LED but it was a piece of shit and I returned it. So I decided to install a hard-wired light but that meant installing a new box and cutting brick and then running new wire. So I did that for most of the day. I also hooked it up to a photocell so it comes on at night automatically.

Pine Wood Derby

Outside of the Jeep life I am the dad of 2 cub scouts. 1 of which will bridge to boy scouts in March. This time of year we work on our pine wood derby cars. I love teaching them about tools and helping them learn about the physics involved in a derby car. There is much more to than just aerodynamics. Weight placement, polishing axles and overall drag all play a part in a winning car. Anyone else in the group partake in a derby?
Let's see your and your kids cars.

Just got the kit at the last pack meeting. Haven’t started on it yet. It’s my 6 year olds first year of scouts. He wants to make it into a flat fender Jeep. Can’t wait to build it with him. First of many I hope.

“Cleaned up” the yard by cutting down 6 or so trees.

Now I have a real mess to deal with. Piles for days. Should be nice after it’s all done but right now it’s a disaster.
