Random (non-Jeep) Shit You’re Working On....

Today I replaced heater hoses, heater tees, reservoir, flush and plugs and wires. All gm stuff. I think I’ve done just about every service on this thing. 2013 Denali 6.2 with 135k on it.

My buddy's old man passed away recently and he asked me to do some door art on his Dad's 70' C10. I tried to make it look aged like the truck.... I'm no pro... and this is my first time doing something like this.... but it was fun and an honor that he let me.

Built pop’s a cold air intake for his Chevy last weekend…

Made from some scrap sheet metal for the TB flange and a stainless steel pickup truck nerf bar/step for the tube.

My welding skills are a little lacking but I’m not bad with grinding and spreading bondo.

We were gonna do a little more body work on it and paint it the same color as the body but we’re running out of time so VHT roll bar paint will have to do.

Installed a second battery and dual 30lb propane tanks to replace the single 20lb on our new travel trailer. Probably over kill for our little 14' trailer but if we do cold wearher camping this winter I want to stay warm. Plus with full hook ups now I can take long cramped hot showers...haha.20230626_154532.jpg

Having extra stuff like that is wise. You never know when you might need it.

Going stir crazy being off work for my second week now after the new baby was born. Finding things to do around the house. Wife wanted a barn door on the master bath entrance but I’ve put it off since I couldn’t find a prefab door slab to fit the space. Decided to build the door by just sandwiching some 1/4” ply between 1x4’s. Used wood filler on the edges so it looks like a solid piece. Think it came out pretty good.
